Hello. It's nice to meet all of you. I am the one they call Alibaba. Or I would be if I wasn't dragged from home to a place where I have no reputation.

I'll make this simple. I'm looking to make a deal--information is what I need. Specifically, I want to know more about this porting process.

I don't expect anyone to be able to tell me how it works, but anything you might know would be...helpful. I would be especially interested in speaking with anyone that was able to go home before being brought back.

You can answer freely or we can see if we can reach a deal that works for both of us. I'll be waiting.

Modern times, modern history, and usually Americans or the Japanese, for some reason. I am one of perhaps a handful of Russians here.

I try. This place is confusing and efforts to understand it are commendable, even if the technology involved is far out of my league. I wish you the best of luck in trying to gather information on this; it would give me a headache to think about for too long.

Yes, but I think it's good that you have friends here. This is a very big adjustment and having someone familiar around might make it easier. At least, I hope it does.

That is a very kind offer. Hopefully I can get better on my own so I don't have to take you up on it, but the sentiment is appreciated regardless.

Hopefully they can fill you in on things I, being a new arrival myself, am unaware of. If not then I suggest reading the old network posts; that has been quite educational.

I appreciate it. Being from 1950, I've had to do a lot of work to even be able to text decently. But challenges are how we find out what we're capable of, I suppose.

The more you know, the more you know that you don't know? It's a common feeling, around here.

Your own attitude is remarkably positive. Some people arrive and want nothing more than to leave, but you're learning and reaching out to others, which I think is a far wiser approach. After all, avoiding challenges does not make them go away.
