What the hell are you supposed to do on a date? A first date if that matters. Something like that has to be special, doesn't it? So...what do people expect? Do you have to dress up? How do you know who pays for everything?

I really don't know anything about this junk so I'll take any advice people have got.

It doesn't have to be all complicated. I mean sometimes people like the simple things.

This person you're going on a date with, are they high maintenance or something?
If they aren't you're probably stressing too much.

No way. He's as far from high maintenance as someone can get, but I still want to...you know. I want it to go well.

Look. Keep it simple--meaning don't over think it. Go somewhere you both can enjoy--or do an activity you both can get into. That way you're not so worried about what's happening and you guys can chat and whatever.

Sure, but we haven't known each other for that long. [More importantly, he hadn't really had friends before Otabek in the first place. Rinkmates, sure, but that was different. Somehow.]

Honestly, if you're not sure about what's better with him go with what would make you more comfortable. If you're not comfortable, it's not going to be a good time.

Like I said, being nervous is normal. If he's your friend first, he'll understand.
