[After a series of texts early that day, Yuri spent the rest of his morning trying valiantly to figure out how to hide his name from the network. There was a very serious matter he needed to ask about, and he didn't want to think of the consequences he'd face if anyone knew he was the one asking.]

What the hell are you supposed to do on a date? A first date if that matters. Something like that has to be special, doesn't it? So...what do people expect? Do you have to dress up? How do you know who pays for everything?

I really don't know anything about this junk so I'll take any advice people have got.

[Viktor would never let him hear the end of this if he knew.]

[He tries to slip around Viktor, determined to get past him.]

[ Viktor finally presses against the counter so he can slip by. ]

At least tell me if you're meeting with someone.

[Yuri finally pauses and takes a quick breath, looking back at Viktor.]

It's just a friend. You really don't need to worry about it.

[ At least he finally got an acknowledgement. Viktor relaxes slightly though he can still see Yuri is upset. ]

[He only responds with a thumbs up to confirm before he ducks out the front door.]

[ Well that was odd. Viktor heads back to the couch with his mug, pulling up the post to see if he can find any clue as to what that was about.

[Eventually the sound of the front door opening and closing again signals Yuri's return, but he doesn't seem entirely...present as he makes his way to the living room. The kid is pretty clearly lost in deep thought about whatever just happened..]

[ Viktor looks up, watching Yuri walk in all spaced out for a few moments. ]

... Everything alright?

[He makes an incomprehensible sound and all but collapses onto the couch next to him, leaning forward so he can hold his head in his hands.]

[ Okay there's always high levels of Dramatic happening in this house, but even this is odd enough to not be ignored. Viktor sits up straighter on the couch, putting his phone down to focus on Yuri. ]

Yura, what is it? ... Did it not go well with Yusuke?

[Yuri shoots him a LOOK, but it really isn't terribly surprising that Viktor figured out what had been going on.]

...He said he loves me.

[ Viktor blinks once or twice before his posture relaxes. ]

Oh. He did, huh?

[He nods and returns his head to his hands, speaking in a hopelessly lost tone.]

But Otabek already... What the hell am I supposed to do?!

Wait, has Otabek said it too?

Well—not that, but he's the one who asked for the date!

Oooh ... Do they know about each other?

I didn't know about either of them until today, Viktor!

They've met! And Yusuke knows the date is with Otabek, but Otabek doesn't know anything about...any of this.

[ Viktor leans back against the couch, one leg laying over the other while he crosses his arms casually. ]

Are you going to tell him?

[Yuri groans miserably and scrubs his hands over his face and then back into his hair to pull it out of his eyes.]

Yusuke asked if he has a chance, so I have to...

... Does he?

[He can feel that familiar twist in his chest, and the ache is reflected way his brow pinches and his mouth draws in a tight, pained line.]

How the hell am I supposed to answer that before I talk to Otabek?

Yura ... [ Viktor's dropped his voice a bit, soft and quiet. ]

How do you feel about him? Or how does he make you feel?

[There's another sigh, and he slumps back against the couch bonelessly.]

He... I think I like him. [He crosses his arms awkwardly.] I get the same kind of feeling around him as I do with Otabek.
