[Private to Luke.]
I might be onto something for your lightsaber. I didn't really want to say anything until it was a sure thing, but - [He's excited and he wants to share it with him.]
I'm working on it.

How long can a person go without sleep before it starts having a negative effect on them? I mean, I do sleep. Sometimes. But it's definitely not a full eight hours.
[And his slumber is filled with horrifying nightmares.]
I don't like taking anything, but I'm not sure what else to do.

I managed to get a crystal, but if you have something, it would be good to keep on hand? Just in case?
[ Because. You know. Loss of the limb holding your weapon is totally a thing. ]

...where did you get it?

Now that's just going straight without sleep, but even if you're getting a few hours here and there, the effects can be pretty bad. Increased risks for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, and seizures, as well as tons of other stuff.
... Sorry, that was a lot of info at once. I'm a doctor.
text.
I'm not sure what some of those things are, but they don't sound like any fun.
What do you suggest?

So if it's not a full eight hours then how many hours do you get a night?

Tea and hot food helps, because those make the body relax a little. You can stay asleep longer by sleeping when it's cold, under a lot of blankets. But if nothing else works, white noise like static or a TV can get you to sleep, too. Those aren't permanent solutions, though. You should probably talk to someone who's a doctor. But in the meantime, those are little things that can help. I hope you figure it out! I'm still working on that, too. It's tough, but it gets easier.

There are many different ways to help you sleep, but ultimately they will not fix what's preventing you.
[ Text ]
If I could fix what's causing it, I would. But I can't do that here.

HOW MUCH YOU GETTING A NIGHT?
I'D SAY TRY DOING SOME INTENSE EXERCISE BEFORE YOU SLEEP. THEN YOU'LL DROP OFF AND BE TOO TIRED TO EVEN DREAM.
text
Three...maybe four hours.
I do. I exercise every day. My body is tired, but my mind never shuts up.

When I can't sleep I just go out and have fun until I exhaust myself. So basically every night. I don't feel like I've had a real good sleep since the last time I was in a cockpit.
text
I can do that until I collapse and the nightmares still come. [Visions, actually.] You slept in your cockpit?

Also, don't look at anything with light an hour before you sleep - like the screen of your device. It'll trick your brain into thinking it's still daytime.

I find something to do to keep myself busy, until I'm too tired to stay awake.
You ever tried to meditate? I've never done it, but it's supposed to help.

[Tell him all about those. He doesn't have enough.]
I was a Jedi. I know how to meditate. I know how to keep busy. No luck so far.

[This is terrible advice and he knows it. He has better advice but you know what, Darth Vader doesn't deserve Han's best advice, he deserves Han's horrifyingly bad advice.]
