the school year's barely begun and i've already landed in detention

i mean it is kinda my fault and at least the guidance counselor here is better than Mr. Frond was

And i just got 2 days tacked on for being caught on my device

so I guess my point is I'm full of all this frustration and aggression & I'm not used to feeling this way so how do i try and burn it off?

I'm feeling scared and unsafe and just confused about a lot of stuff and it boiled over

so I'm trying to find healthier outlets

i think a lot of us are tbh. it's not just you, if that makes you feel any better

it does. and I know I shouldn't have acted out because of it no matter what.

hey, it could be worse. at least you're not in detention for smashing the gym or building a deathray, right?

Or blowing up the chemistry lab. all told, I didn't do any property damage, so that's a plus

my friend nill is! we live next door to each other and I don't think she's been to school before

i don't think i've seen her away. but hey! at least you're going to school with another import, right? and if she hasn't been to school before, maybe you can help her get used to it.

honestly I'd really like that. it'd give me a thing to look forward to and concentrate on.

and you can probably help her get used to other stuff, too. if this is her first time going to school this is probably her first time doing a lot of things.

Yeah. and it can be hard to learn how to schedule and make sure you have enough time to do homework and stuff. luckily i'm pretty good at that, since i had school and work at the restaurant to balance.

i'm not! i had to finish a worksheet before class yesterday cause i forgot about it. maybe i'll have to ask you for some pointers too

I keep a checklist. it helps me to be able to cross things off and see clearly what i still need to do.

smartphones really help in that way!

not sure about the phone. the teachers might try and take it away if i look at it in class. it would help a lot after school, tho. and hey maybe i can get a notebook for class.

a little notebook is my friend :) left handed of course. you could also get a planner. i've seen people make theirs really elaborate and put colorful tape around the edges and stuff

that sounds pretty cute! maybe you can help me pick one out later

[They sound a little too fancy for her, actually ... but it's less about the notebook, and more about giving Tina another excuse to come over. If Tina wants one, at least.]
