[It never bodes well when Anakin Skywalker sticks to text only. He has manufactured many reasons to lay low and to generally behave himself, however one reason trumps them all. Why is fatherhood so complicated?]
Parenting books. I need them.
Does anyone even make those?
I don't have the experience necessary to not screw this up.
[Progress comes in uneven spurts for the once-Jedi-now-a-Sith Lord. Who knows if it will last or lead to even new heights of inspiration!Spoiler: it probably won't on both accounts.]

I'm sure most bookstores would have parenting books that could be helpful.

Any suggestions, General? Not that you have any experience in this arena.

Do you really think that's going to help?

If I start at the beginning, maybe I can make some headway.

And... there may be classes to help. Books are... hit and miss on this kind of thing.
text
I'll take classes if I have to, but this seems like a...one of a kind problem.

That's Anakin Skywalker.
As in, Darth Vader.
As in, Luke and Leia's dad and the reason Leia lost her place as a Senator in the New Republic. So uh - no. No they don't.

Pretty sure at this point you just need to talk to them.
They aren't kids any more, and reading parenting books is only going to make them feel like you're trying to get back to a childhood they've left a long way behind them.
text.
What if they don't want to talk? What if all they want to do is fire blasters at me?
Reading the books will help me understand them from...their past. I need to look at them as a father.

That you give a shit enough to want to try with your kid(s) [ almost forgot to make the plural optional, whoops. she's not supposed to know he has twins, right? ] is a good start. That matters more than you realize.
[ ugh too close to home, abort. ]
Plus, I'm pretty sure that parenting books are 90% bullshit anyway.
( text )
I guess. [The bar has been set very low.] It might matter in normal circumstances, but none of this is normal.
Are they really?
