ACTION
Woden's showing up at your place through a portal of RAINBOWS. Do they look extra sparkly and rainbowy? They SURE DO. ]
He --
[ He does not get that far. ]
no subject
[Yes. He's human. He was lying on his bed, looking all the role of a normal human adult would. But he's bolted upright now, and almost definitely pissed.]
Woden. I know you're probably having a grand time right now, for whatever reason, but say something before you just bifrost into my room!
[Well, it sounds like Kay, minus the electronic modifier.]
no subject
[ He looked him over, hand to the glass on his helmet.
Well, this wouldn't do at all. Poor Kay. ]
You're human.
no subject
[He places both hands over his face, and sighs.]
Yes. I'm human. It's unfortunate for everyone around me, including myself. If you have some means of bestowing powers on others, I would appreciate it, if only so that I don't feel so...
[Human.]
no subject
[ Woden asked, starting to pick around the room, picking up one object or another. ]
I'll need something you can wear often. Or keep in your pocket.
no subject
[Something he can wear often or keep with him? Well, he recently picked up a watch, because not knowing the time at all times has actually been more unsettling to him than the concept of sleep, so. He holds out his wrist, gestures to the watch.]
Will this work?
no subject
Woden doesn't sing -- can't sing -- and while that should have been a problem, he had his ways of making the flaw...insignificant. Who cared if there was a god that didn't fit in, especially when...
Well.
He held it, the lights on his outfit didn't surge, but for a moment, they looked brighter. Sharper.
He stared at the watch, eyes closed, even if K-2 couldn't see it. In fact, he simply looked...intense. ]
I think you should be of my pantheon. [ He said, and rolled a shoulder. ] Now I don't know how the whole speech goes, it's unique for everyone. You can be Vör, the seer. The one who can see beyond the veil.
[ He held out the watch. ] Take it.
no subject
Does this play into Woden wanting to leave behind some kind of impact before his time was up? Would accepting this also shorten his lifespan...? Would it affect him, if he regained his ability to become a droid? Can't exactly just "kill" a droid the same way you would a human-turned-god.
Well, wouldn't a seer be able to know these answers? More so than Woden himself would, at least.]
Vör.
[Kay huffs a laugh in a combination of disbelief, and because he doesn't even know what he's signing up for, but he has a feeling he will, after he signs up for it. Isn't that how it goes?
He takes the watch.]
no subject
[ When he let go, he only crossed his fingers. ]
Feel any better? It won't make up for the whole...biology thing, but...
no subject
Is joining your pantheon more a favor to you, or more of a favor to me? I can't keep racking up a debt with you.
[Kay begins to put on the watch, and once secured, it's like he's been suckerpunched. Breath gone, a complete exhale until all air has left him. He's fallen to one knee from the suddenness of it all, and how he can sudden see things. It's like his ability to run projections as a droid, but more. They aren't just guesses or approximations, they are true, but limitless. No one answer is the best and only answer.
He doesn't notice at first his clothing has changed as well- all white, with lines stretching across the material like circuitry. Not unlike Woden's own, really, although the lines are thinner, more numerous and random.
Eventually, a few deep breaths later, he looks down at himself.]
Did we really need to have matching bodysuits?
no subject
[ Woden is... delighted by the way he bent down, winded. The idea of K-2 reacting so strongly, it's not quite like the transformation Ananke forced on Jon, but... it's close enough to count. Maybe he'll try the speech next time, and see how it goes.
But it's good enough. His lips curled, even though his helmet remained as impassive as ever. ]
I think it's a favor to both. I have to start somewhere, you seemed the most trustworthy option. [ He wouldn't just betray him. Not like some others might. ]
no subject
[He's not used to having skin and clothes that feel like this don't feel like proper clothes. Oh well. Kay scoffs while getting back to his feet.]
I'm the most trustworthy option?
[Although it's probably true. He doesn't exactly shy away from Woden, despite knowing he's awful. It's not immediate loyalty, but it's ... something. Which is apparently more than what others have for Woden.
He flexes his hand, testing the material and also trying to see what he can do. Doesn't feel like his 'powers' really give him too much physically. Just flashes of information, of the future, of answers... More than he had before at least.]
Then thank you, and you're welcome...
[Since it's a favor to them both, afterall.]
Allfather.
[He means it with the hint of sarcasm he's thrown into his tone. He knows Woden's still going to get off on it anyway.]
no subject
And a small, geeky part of him is delighted. He never liked the title, allfather -- it was... hard. Too hard. To think about, in that corner of his mind that wondered if he'd done the right thing over a year ago. He knew he wouldn't like the answer.
This is the first time it felt right. Felt real. ]
I like that.
[ He said, and gestured vaguely with his hand. ]
I think this is going to be fun.
