[ The message comes out late at night that Leia doesn't expect anyone to be awake to answer. She's pulling a Han right now; the man has a terrible habit of sending these late night texts out. Looks like she's learned from the best of the best.

There's a catch, however, and it's that Leia's locked this from any immediate family and friends*. She doesn't need the extra worry. Doesn't want anyone camping out on her front step. She might have missed someone, going through the directory this late, though. ]

I've spent the last hour trying to go back through what's available. I've also tried browsing what's online. It hasn't worked out so well.

What I'm looking for are remedies. Something that works in helping someone fall asleep and stay asleep without waking every two hours.

When I say remedies, I mean the kind that come in the form of personal experience. If you've had trouble keeping a sleep schedule, please, share what works for you?

While I understand that the implications of such a thing might be rather embarrassing, I did find a few months ago that after an excessive bout of insomnia, finding someone that I trusted to spend the night with allowed me to sleep restfully and through the night once more.

[The truth is, D33 has never been able to sleep alone. And it is embarrassing. But he's been down this road before and it would have been really nice to know back then that simply finding a friend to sleep next to would have solved his problem. Maybe then he wouldn't have considered literally giving himself a head injury out of desperation. Call it a rare show of empathy, but maybe he doesn't want this woman to have to drink herself into a stupor and drunk text her boss just to figure out that she needs a companion for the night.]

When you say spend the night with someone, are you referring to just sleeping side by side? Or are we talking about something more than that?

[ D33, listen, she hasn't done that kind of thing in a long time. Both sexual relations and sleeping next to someone. This might be one of her problems. ]

I refer only to the act of sleeping itself, I assure you.

[The real answer is a hard "both", by the way, but it didn't start that way, okay?

[Sex does help, though. That's just true. But he'll never say so. Not to a woman, especially.]
