From what I've observed of your fiction, humans put aliens into two categories. Either they are violent invaders or they are so superior and intelligent that all of their tech is way beyond your human brains and it makes Earth look low and aggressive in comparison. Either way, somebody is blasting the other.

Is this what the majority of you believe about us?

Yes, some of you would have clearly noticed that I'm not human and not hiding that fact is sometimes a risky proposition. Case in point... what I already said.

Not every alien fits into those two boxes.

It looks like you wear a mask; a gas mask. People are going to be suspicious of someone who looks as if they're hiding their identity, unless they're, you know, doing their superheroing.

Sitting at home in 1922, as I was two years ago, I could have dreamed up that someday humans might travel into space, or develop video picture quality so clear it looks as if the person's standing right in front of you. But a creature that's got tubes growing out of his face, without wearing a mask? No; no, I couldn't've thought of that.

I'm curious to learn more about them! Nonhumans are present in my home, but they relentlessly devour humans and speech seems impossible for them. I'm pleased to meet nonhumans that I can communicate with, who are more interested in talking than eating me.

I've got a lot of friends who are aliens. I think they are just people.

Humans have the tendency to reject whatever is different from them, so it usually ends up in conflict. Even when the differences are among themselves.

Rather than it being something they believe about you, it's something they believe humans would do and thus the stories are written in such ways.

Quite regularly, I suppose. We live within great walls that protect us from the Titans, but I venture outside on expeditions and there are always casualties.
