[ Opting for the text function is definitely a less daunting prospect compared to airing a live video for strangers to see, but to Haru, first impressions are important. She can feel her hands and chest warming up, though a part of that could be attributed to the fact she's wearing that thick pink sweater. Still... she's not unused to addressing a large audience, it's just finding yourself in a world that isn't the cognitive one even with your friends here is somewhat unnerving.

But that's why video it has to be. She needs to convey a friendly approach and demeanor, otherwise it will be much harder to ask anyone for help should she ever need it.

There's no fumbling of the communicator once the feed starts up. Haru is seated close to the table it's propped up on, her hands laid neatly in her lap. She smiles at her unknown audience, a touch shy, but it's warm and friendly. ]

Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Haru Okumura. [ A beat. Does she mention her family? No. ] It is very nice to meet you all. I've heard there are many of us who have been brought to this world. Um, I suppose some of you have been here long enough to hear the same questions over and over, but if you would indulge me I would very much appreciate it.

[ She shifts closer, speaking a bit more clearly. ]

I have heard that superheroes are real in this world ― something that government actively encourages. [ It's difficult to mask the intrigue. Her eyes seem to light up. ] There must be superheroines, yes? I can hardly believe it myself... but that sounds amazing! I wonder if they are anything like the ones I admired on TV as a child.

[ An abrupt pause, followed by Haru's shoulders rolling back and a whimsical smile settling onto her face. ]

Ah, my apologies. I seem to have gotten a bit distracted for a moment.

Trust me, they do. Good thing there's, like, well over a hundred where I'm from. Here? It'd probably be a little harder if the big stuff went down anywhere but America.

[girlybruiser]

So many to keep track of! But I think it's nice so many people would protect those who can't protect themselves and devote themselves to justice.

[khajidont]

Yeah. Yeah, it's pretty inspiring. But you'll have plenty of time to learn about all of the different superheroes we've got here - how are you dealing with all this? You seem to be taking this in stride for someone who's been transported to another world.

[girlybruiser]

Am I?

[ She's surprised by that comment, taking a moment to think it over. ]

... I guess you're right. I was lucky enough to have many of my friends already here, so I was not alone when I showed up.

[khajidont]

That explains things. Having friends around always makes things easier, even stuff as crazy as this. Who're your friends?

[girlybruiser]

There's Akira Kurusu, Ryuji Sakamoto, Futaba Sakura and Yusuke Kitagawa.

And Morgana is here, too!

[ AND NONE FOR AKECHI. ]

[khajidont]

Oh! You're one of them!

[ He lights up immediately. ]

I'm Yusuke's roommate, so we're definitely gonna be seeing each other around sometime.

[girlybruiser]

Do you know them all?

I hope so! I will be coming over sometime, so maybe we shall see each other then?

[khajidont]

Nope. I've met Akira and Futaba before, but only a couple of times - we're not close, but they seem sweet. Yusuke's great, though.

I'll see you then. The others'll probably be able to answer any questions you've got, but if you wanna know anything else, just let me know.

[girlybruiser]

I think my friends will help me with that, yes, but I will keep you in mind if I do have other questions.

For now, I think I would like to get to know you a little better.

[khajidont]

[ Jaime flashes a grin at her. ]

Well, that, we can definitely arrange. I'd say I'm all ears, but there's better ways of getting to know people other than 20 questions.

[girlybruiser]

How so?

Doing something's a start. What d'you like to do? Any hobbies?

[girlybruiser]

[ Ah, she sees. ]

I do have a green thumb... I enjoy growing vegetables in gardens I tend to. I've also sort of recently taken up an interest in coffee.

[khajidont]

I'm a big coffee fan too, but you probably won't like the crap I brew. [ He cracks a wry grin. He knows that the stuff he makes is more a convenient caffeine delivery system than it is a good cup of coffee. ] But I know a good place if you're looking for something that actually tastes good.

[girlybruiser]

[ She giggles at that. ]

I wouldn't mind getting the address and name. I've been thinking for a while of opening up my own shop at home someday, but there is still much I need to learn.

[khajidont]

Well, you've got a lot of time to figure that one out.

[ all of these HIGH SCHOOL KIDS with their AMBITIONS!!! when Jaime was in high school he just wanted to be a dentist for the money!!!

He does, however, give her the name of Kaneki's cafe. ]

It's imPort-run - you'll see a lot of us going there from time to time. If you ever feel like getting away from people wanting to ask you about being an imPort, that's where you're gonna want to go.
