Truth: I was a dumb kid who made a dumb decision. Left my meds at home so I wouldn't have to take them. Lost control in the end.

[Really he just sounds like an overly formal person to Max. He's dealt with that before back home. His field leader, Monty, talks like his brain is a dictionary and a grammar book in one.]

They kept my powers in check. Helped me stabilize my intake. I stopped taking them and everything went haywire. Turned into a walking battery reaching its heat limit. And if you know what happens to overheated batteries, you can fill in the blanks yourself.

If I hadn't stop taking them, it wouldn't have happened. That's on me, not the meds.

Yeah. A lot of people do. Mine developed earlier than expected. It happens sometimes.

Like I said, they showed up early than expected. Didn't know what it was until it was too late. Restricting powers is a really bad idea unless you know what the consequences are. Have to know what the give and take is.

Like I said, everyone has regrets. I'm not the only one. People make mistakes. Sometimes they're big ones.

It's cool. You're welcome.
