video.

[ Behold: Lestat, sprawled on a velvet couch in a leather jacket, head leaned casually on the arm rest. Visible from this selfie angle, discarded on his coffee table, is a laptop open to a word processor. He's deep in thought tonight. ]

Have you ever fallen in love? Have you ever been punched very hard in the face, or perhaps attacked by a pack of starving wolves? For those of you who've done both, would you say the experiences were at all comparable?

Huh? No way! ...Why, is it more like that?

[There's a pause, then his voice goes a little morose.] ...I guess I could see it being more like that, yeah...

...Well.

I'm not gonna say I didn't deserve them, I guess.

[Another thing punches and love have in common, huh, huh!?]

How often do people get attacked by wolves, anyway? I haven't even seen a wild wolf since I was here.

That's too bad.

[Choke] --That there's no wolves anymore, I mean! I'd like to see one.

They seem to be a pretty rare Po-- er, animal, in this world. I'd like to research them, so I can record their data. Even the zoos don't seem to really have them.

I've been collecting data on animals in this world to add to my... well, it's like an encyclopedia of the creatures from my world. And now I've been expanding it to add creatures from this one.

[Too bad for him then, he's about to get a whole lot of Science Talk!]

Well, there's definitely a whole lot of that, too. I've spent a lot of my free time here reading up on all sorts of biology and zoology books, too... [You know, when he's not drinking] Mm, but I guess I'm curious what things I'd observe given my different background.

--You know, Pokémon are pretty different from animals. They're as smart as people. When you're studying them, you can interact with them on a more personal level. You can't do that so much with animals, even if you befriend them enough for them to be calm around you.
