[The camera turns on, it's a dimly lit area, a small box of sorts made of wood. like a bed built inside of a box. It's cozy, and lit by christmas lights. Shadow leans in the corner looking world weary for a change. His dog is leaning against his side and bringing her legs up as he continuously pets her belly as he speaks.]

Anyone else up this late? I'm having trouble falling asleep right now.

Been a lousy couple' a days, a lousy week, and tomorrow's my birthday. I don't wanna feel like shit all weekend so like... any nightcrawlers out there wanna hang out or gallivant around in De Chima?

Keep a cat company for a while?

[Aside from the kitten crawling into the small space from a compartment above and the dog at his side, and the two other cats just out of view.]

[And he ports to the door. There's no light on so he's down in a couple of seconds. Kitkat at his side, coming along with them off leash as usual.]

Are you gonna pay or should I?

[She has to check on the puppies to make sure they're alright before she makes her way down.]

I'll pay.

[When she sees him she offers a weak smile. God they're a sad pair, aren't they? She'd even let him buy something weird if he wanted. She misses it. She misses so much about home it's become a physical pain in her chest that lives there now. It's set up home and even put out a 'home horrible home' mat.]

We can talk about what you want for your birthday.

[Puppies, indeed. He knows how that is since he had found himself responsible of one only a few months ago. And she's growing up now.]

But I don't... But you just got me stuff for Christmas.

[Growing up without presents on your birthday, or at least nothing outside the family, and nothing wrapped, you kinda end up lacking an expectation for gifts.

Given that he ruined his clothes again in the most recent incident however...]

I guess I need new clothes.

[At the mention of her Christmas gift to him she just shrugs. She knows what it's like to have a birthday this close to Christmas; even though she's not going to mention it.]

Then we can look at new clothes while we're out.

[He squints at her and gives a soft chuckle.]

I thought we were just going to do tacos?

[She shrugs.]

We could do both, and window shop.

Or just shop. I can teleport.

Wouldn't that be time travel?

[She's dealt with teleportation before, she can even do it herself. She's just never thought of doing it THAT FAR.]

It's not different if we're not actually doing any harm.

All we're doing is sneaking in to a place, trying clothes on, and paying for them while nobody else is there to bother us.
