[ A very lanky man with messy white hair appears, raking some of the strands away from his face in agitation, only to have them fall back into place. ]

I'm going to start by saying that the displacement of my natural body is severely upsetting my energies. I hate to be "that mech", but I honestly don't know how much more of this I can tolerate. My chakras are in disarray, I itch everywhere, I keep forgetting that breathing is a thing that needs to happen, and the apartment lobby won't even allow me to offer the service of optimizing the energy flow through the building! I'm just feeling a lot of aggression here and quite honestly I'm catching a lot of very uncomfortable vibes. Outside of being physically uncomfortable that is.

[ He pushes his hair back again, fussing, attempting to tuck it behind his ear to no avail. He dismisses it again in favor of continuing. ]

That does bring me to the point that my swords are still missing. I realize at this point? Wielding them isn't realistic, what with being a fraction of my regular size. Yes, sure, I get that, but I still like to have them. They're important. So if anyone happens to see any outstandingly large swords around, chances are they're mine. I'd appreciate if you contacted me. I can't offer much as a reward. Perhaps I could offer to lead you through a meditation session? Or cleanse your focal energy passages? Anyways, the point being, swords. Big ones.

[ He gestures, as to the size of the blades. Yes, very big. Like he was telling a big fish story or something. His hair falls back in his face and he huffs at it, growing increasingly more irritated as he attempts to arrange it again. ]

Also could someone lend me something to tie this back? Or better yet, something I can use to shave this all off? I can't stand all this fur!

[ Relenting, he shuts off the feed, and the audio cuts out mid-sigh. ]

Oh-! Primus is our God of Light, head of the Guiding Hand, the Cybertronian deities.

He was a very lonely, very egocentric, and very stupidly destructive Cybertronian.

I see. How many deities are in the Guiding Hand?

I know. I knew him for millions of years. He never changed.

Five! Just like a hand. Primus, the God of Light, Solomus of Wisdom, Epistemus of Science and Knowledge, Mortilus of War and Death, and Adaptus who grants us our ability to change shape.

Not everyone knows how to.

[ She thinks he's kind of in the category of "never going to be able to" in spite of the fact he might well even recognize the ways he should. ]

Mortilus, mortality. Sorry, it's just interesting how things translate.

Does Adaptus only work with the outward ability to change shape? Nothing to do with any ability to adapt in other ways?

[ Not commenting on the fact "Adaptus" translates as it does, making her think of a literal "Adapt Us." ]

True enough. We've been at the same thing for this long anyways.

[ Oh this is his favorite subject though. ]

Actually you're correct! Adaptus also grants other things, for example some of us are born "special". With innate abilities. Trailcutter for example, can project forcefields. Skids learns at an incredible pace, things like that. The best medics have special hands with heightened dexterity. Those are considered to be blessed by Adaptus.

[ She'd been thinking more along the lines of "adaptability and changeability of mind and to circumstance" but this... actually says something else that she finds curious. "Special" gifts of a sort, innate abilities that can in theory be trained to greater effective use.

Odd. Some of that seems familiar. ]

Are there many who choose not to use their blessed abilities?

Well, yes. Some were not as convenient. Even destructive. It was the luck of the draw, really.

Or a lack of luck. It's interesting to hear such a thing is true for you.

What about adaptability to environment? Situation?

[weapabilities]

Well, we're naturally very adaptable, we're a very hardy species.

Mentally and emotionally as well as physically?

[weapabilities]

Well, if you're looking at the mental and emotional, you'd probably be better off not asking a soldier. Someone like Rung would have been better to answer that. Physically, sure. We can survive in the vacuum of space, under water, we can even imitate other mechanical things. For example, if we scan a car from earth, if the frame type matches, we can imitate it.

[ Strangely, that makes her almost feel like smiling. It's true. Don't as a soldier (or a warrior) about mental and emotional adaptability. Parts of that have been subverted, lost, or altered in the matter of the course they live and fight through. ]

I think that's true across any species.

I'm not sure what you mean by the frame type matching. How do you perform a scan? Visual only?

Well, it's kind of like. A little laser deal that goes voooop and then sometimes some formatting help is needed from a medic, on occasion. It's-

[ WHAT DOES ANY OF THAT MEAN WHY ARE CYBERTRONIANS THE OPPOSITE OF INTUITIVE ON THIS LEVEL these are quandaries people from worlds without technology that voops or formats run into. ]

It sounds involved... and it's fine if you can't explain well. I was curious, that's all.

What people feel's worth sharing, or what seems relevant to ask at the time, tends to change from time to time. These things haven't come up.

Why so curious abut us?

[ 'cause Cybertronians are both guardians (hahahahahahahahahahaha) and also there's a strange sort of ability to relate to the things they say and see patterns she can recognize in the ways they think. ]

I've known several of you. I like learning more... about who you each are, and your culture. Much like I want to know more about this world, or the places others are from.

[weapabilities]

That's fair.

You know, I may not know much on the science side of things... but I can teach you about our culture. Our history, religion, traditions. Anything you want to know along that vein.

But where are you from. Are you not human?

Not strictly human. But I am human. As for the where, it seems believable that it's a version of Earth.

I'm not sure what to ask... but I am glad to listen, and ask when questions come to mind. If it wouldn't be an imposition.
