[He's getting sick of this being ported out and ported back in shit. Only this time, months have passed, and he's not been left unscathed. Katsuki is wandering around Heropa, his movements almost...drunken, and while it might be harder to see via the network as he turns it on, it's apparent that he's bleeding heavily from his left shoulder. Those in his vicinity may also notice that he's bleeding from his stomach and both wounds go straight through his body. His breathing is strained as he growls out.]

Where is he-

["Uhm, Mr. Lord Got Arrested Killing People, you really should go to the hospit-"]

WHERE IS THAT SON OF A BITCH?! I'LL KILL HIM, I'LL-

["A villain! My purse has all my coupons!

With a controlled explosion, Katsuki goes flying toward the purse-snatcher, retrieving the person's purse with his teeth. Unfortunately, the second blast is less controlled thanks to his current state and he does a back-flip in midair before landing on his face. Standing up, he snarls and throws the purse at its owner, swaying as he continues his rant.]

OKAY YOU ASSHOLES, LISTEN UP! THE NAME AIN'T LORD EXPLOSION MURDER NO MORE, GET READY TO FEAR GREAT EXPLOSION MURDER GOD DYNAMIGHT!!!!

ESPECIALLY YOU, YOU CRUST BA-bas ...bastar-mmmph-

[The blood loss finally cuts his threats short, leading him to passing out right there.]

[Within a relatively short amount of time, Katsuki ends up at the hospital. The hospital staff makes sure that he is stabilized, and sometimes Katsuki wakes up only to fall back asleep again.

After hours have passed he finally wakes up-]

What the fuck.

[When did he end up here? Why is he alone? Where's Kaneki? Ripping the IV out without even flinching, wincing as he does move to get up-luckily, they have him on some painkillers-and moves to escape. He has to let Kaneki know he's back. Screw this hospital shit.

He only gets a few feet out in the corridor when a doctor stops him in his tracks.

"Sir, you shouldn't be moving around just yet-"]

I'M FINE, DAMMIT, LET ME OUTTA HERE!!! WHAT, YOU SOME KINDA MEDICAL EXPERT OR SOMETHIN'?!

["...Yes. I am."]

[ Kaneki did manage to get where Bakugou was before he was brought to the hospital, but sadly he was too late. People tell him he had been taken away to the hospital and that is a huge relief to Kaneki, but that means he has to rush yet again. At the hospital, however, he is told he can't see Bakugou.

First, he is not stable and second, Kaneki isn't... well. Family. He is an imPort, certainly, but the doctors can't just carelessly allow anyone in without knowing for certain they should be let in (they didn't even know who did that to Bakugou, after all!). Therefor, Kaneki is told to go home and wait until Katsuki is awake so in turn he can tell a doctor that he does allow Ken to visit.

Usually Kaneki would nod and leave, but this time he doesn't. He doesn't care if he has no way to prove he is someone who should be there, he doesn't care if the doctors insist for him to go home, kaneki sits down and just waits. he will ask the nurse from time to time if she has any news, and while she can't give him much information eventually she gives in and admits that Bakugou seems to be stable, to much of Kaneki's relief. But even with that information, kaneki won't leave; he just stays sitting there at the waiting room.

Until he decides he won't wait anymore, and so Kaneki walks in when no one is noticing him (the good thing about being so plain and petite, is that people seem to miss you, and Kaneki is surprisingly good at sneaking around if he wants to). Carefully, he waltz into the hospital, trying to find out which area they are keeping his boyfriend and -suprise!- finding Katsuki is very easy: there is a familiar screaming going on. Kaneki's heart starts racing and by following the screams, he is finally able to see Katsuki screaming at the medical personnel who clearly don't know how to handle someone like him. ]

Katsuki... [ it's a small whisper at first, there is a lump in Kaneki's throat and he fights back the tears threatening to come out. But with a deep breath, Kaneki finally speaks louder until he is heard by all the people there ] Katsuki!!!

[Katsuki opens his mouth to yell at the doctor again. His palms start popping in his outrage.]

YOU-

[That familiar voice cuts through him, through his anger and fear. His chest twists painfully and he looks up. It feels like it's been so long.]

Ken-

[He doesn't care that his voice catches, cracking, as he moves to shove the doctor aside, albeit not very well, his legs carrying him to Kaneki as he brings his good arm in to pull him into a hug, leaning against him more than he wants.]

You're still here.

[ kaneki wants to move, he really does, but watching Bakugou - how hurt he is - freezes him on the spot, and he can't breathe or say anything else, holding back a chocked sound that forced its way out of his mouth. The tears are hard to hold back, so when Bakugou is finally close enough, he will be able to see Kaneki's eyes wet by them.

He wraps his arms around him tightly, a hand around katsuki's chest and other on the back of his neck, fingers wanting to melt into him like that, and after he presses his face against Katsuki's neck, whispering his name several times, desperate for him. ]

What happened-- what happened?!

[ ken doesn't want to let go, doesn't want to move. He is afraid that, if he does, katsuki will disappear again - will this become a normal thing, he wonders? it's the second time now... - but also afraid the other will just crumble. Why is he so hurt? Kaneki's chest squeezes, he can barely talk or even breathe, and so so slowly, two red tendrils come out of Kaneki's lower back, making way through Ken's clothes until they are free, and then gently wrap around Katsuki in an embrace.

Meanwhile, a nurse comes running - she realized Kaneki left the waiting area and came after him, but stops as she sees the two of them. Ah. So the boy was telling the truth after all. They do know each other. But still she whispers "he shouldn't be here, I'm sorry" to a doctor, who just waves his hand, actually so glad that Bakugou didn't just... take off running. ]

[Even with the painkillers, Katsuki still hurts. But seeing Kaneki so distraught, so afraid and hurting- that's what cuts the deepest.]

Shhhh. It's all right.

[It's not. But he'll find a way to make it better. He'll find a way so Kaneki will never have to be afraid like this anymore- so no one will have to be. Katsuki moves his hand up to card his fingers through Kaneki's hair, practically melting into him as Kaneki embraces him.]

Your kagune- [He mumbles against Kaneki's shoulder, ignoring the doctor and nurse and just letting himself have this for right now.]

It's okay. Looks worse than it is.

[ kaneki doesn't let go either and it doesn't register the kagune is there. it came out because he wanted to embrace his lover, he wants to hold him, and kaneki's arms are so small, and nothing is enough. One tendril gently wraps around Katsuki's waist and the other moves around his shoulders, holding him protectively, and then the scales shine bright in response to Katsuki's voice

Ken doesn't want to let go.

The nurses and the doctors, they don't matter at all ]

You are hurt... you are hurt... Katsuki... [ badly so. he was bleeding so much in the video. And he looks terrible ] How did this happen?

[Katsuki feels so warm. Some of the tension in his chest is released, albeit not all, his expression twisting as he tries to hold back his tears. After coming out of a warzone, being embraced like this...he wants to stay here as long as he can. He missed Kaneki so much. He-]

Just part of bein' a hero. It's better than what I thought it'd be so- let's go. Let's go home.

I know that. [ part of being a hero. he knows that! And that is all Katsuki ever wanted, all katsuki ever dreamed of: to be the number one hero, to fight and help people. And Kaneki knows that can also be so dangerous, even if it's all katsuki wants.

But Kaneki can't help his feelings, he can't help but to feel so scared for him. And seeing in person how it can really get and that death is very much real in that line of work, Ken just feels so mad and sad and so goddamn helpless. He doesn't know what to do, but to embrace the other like this.

But when Katsuki mentions going home, a doctor steps in to remind him he is not really going anywhere - he can't go anywhere ]

...Yeah. I know.

[Some of his bravado dies. It's hard to ignore reality when he's hurt Kaneki like this. He would always put himself on the line if he had to, and he's fully aware of it now, but...

Did he have to hurt other people in the process? If he had been stronger against Shigaraki, this wouldn't be an issue.

He's tired, and the doctor's statement just pisses him off more.]

Then he's coming with me, or I'll use my quirk and escape.

[ the doctor stepping in brings Kaneki down to earth, as if he is suddenly being pulled and forced to realize where he is and other people are there too. The kagune fades away immediately, and he pulls to look back at the doctor then at his boyfriend. ]

It's... [ "fine. it's fine" he almost says but it's not. No, he wants to go with him. Kaneki looks at the doctor once again ] Please. [ let him stay.

The man isn't very happy about it, but let's face it, they wouldn't be able to keep Bakugou in bed. If the boy wants the other close, then fine. With a defeated sigh they agree to it, and eventually bring Katsuki back to bed with Kaneki holding on to his hand and not letting go. ]

I'll behave if he stays. Least as long as I feel like it.

[The last thing he wants is to be here, alone. He can't keep hurting people that way. And he just got back.

When the doctor agrees, he can relax a bit. Katsuki pulls at Kaneki to lie on the bed with him, cupping his cheek in his hand. He doesn't tear his gaze away from Kaneki.]

How long?

[ Kaneki does have to listen to the doctor tell him not to rile Katsuki and to call if anything happens. And once they are alone and the door is closed, Ken does climb onto the bed with the other, laying besides him as he looks at him too ]

It was just a day, again. And you? [ how long for was Katsuki in his world? ]

It's been several months.

[Things were going fine...but everything had to go to hell eventually. But it's fine. Their numbers had increased and Deku still had OFA. Maybe he could sleep better now. Maybe...

Katsuki buries his face in the crook of Kaneki's neck, letting out a shaky breath.]

Missed you.

[ Months?!

kaneki nearly gasps but he holds back. Ken realizes life must go on outside this world and when people are sent back they don't remember this place. But this is a big reminder that it can happen at any time and he could be completely forgotten; or Katsuki could stay years in his world and then be returned just like that, too. Even if Bakugou only left for a day, so much could still happen.

That is scary as well.

As Katsuki leans against him, Kaneki wraps his arms around him, kissing the top of the blond head lovingly ]

I'm here. I'm here, Katsuki.

[It is scary. He'd never admit it, but he wonders if he loses pieces of himself each time this happens. He tries not to think about it.

He just stays limp against Kaneki, his breathing getting shallower and faster, as he clings onto his shirt.]

[ feeling Katsuki's breathing change, Kaneki squeezes him tighter. A leg moves to gently tangle with Katsuki's, and once again Kaneki's kagune comes out, this time only one of the tendrils. It moves around Katsuki's waist and after along his back, eventually finding Katsuki's shoulder and carefully wrapping around it.

Kaneki doesn't know what to do to help him, he doesn't know if he can. But he will hold his lover until he calms down]

It's okay. Katsuki.

[He's glad Kaneki's quiet. That he doesn't freak out, or ramble, he just says that one thing and holds him. He feels safe with Kaneki in a way he doesn't normally. He trembles, leaving Kaneki's shirt wet as he finally crumples and breaks down.

Eventually his breathing stills, calming, and he lifts his head to brush Kaneki's cheek, eyes red-rimmed as he kisses him on the lips.]

Sorry.

[For so many things.]

[ Ken allows him to cry without saying a word, a hand petting the blond hair as he does. He is quiet for now, letting the other get it all out for as long as he needs.

When Katsuki moves,Kaneki's hand reaches his cheek and he gently strokes it, kissing back his lips with a soft kiss.

He won't reject Bakugou's apology even though there is nothing to apologize for. It's not his fault. But Ken knows how difficult it is for Katsuki to apologize and he only says it when he means it. Well, Katsuki always says what he means.]

I know. I am too. [ that Katsuki had to go through all of this]

[Katsuki lingers into the kiss as long as he can. Kissing Kaneki again, being with him feels so good. He kisses him longingly until they have to breathe, staring at Kaneki, at his gray eyes and every eyelash and the way his lips are fuller than his own and how soft they are.]

Don't be. I'll figure out a way. Stay here with me...

[He kisses him again, inhaling his scent as he buries his face against his collarbone.]

You smell good.

[ Kaneki ends up nuzzling Katsuki once he pulls away from the kiss. None of the two of them know what to do. As much Katsuki says he will find a way, it's the second time he leaves even if only for a day; in the end, they can't stop the whims of the Porter. Kaneki is terrified of that.

But right now, he will just stay with Katsuki like this, between loving kisses and soft touches]

I won't leave. I'm here.

I will stay here, if you want to sleep for a bit.

Don't wanna- Do that and might disappear again.

[It terrifies him in a different way that nothing else has. With villains and other threats, there was a physical solution, but this was beyond his scope.

But being with Kaneki makes it easier to deal with.]

Let's get a pet or some shit. Something to keep us anchored here.

You won't. [he will have to sleep soon, specially during recovery.

The suggestion of getting a pet causes Kaneki to smile a little, sadly. A pet won't stop any of them from being sent back...]

Katsuki... You don't want to be anchored here. Not to this place. [ it's not the place he wants. It's the people and the memories]

I will help you. To get to the Porter.

Nerd. How do ya know that?

[Katsuki nuzzles him affectionately, frowning.]

Not forever, but long enough to figure out a way to do ever- what?

You want to- no. I won't let you.

Katsuki. [ he pulls away just enough to look at the other]

I have to. [ it's the second time Katsuki was sent home. He himself has been here and forgotten everything.]

I'm tired of being weak. I'm tired of not being able to do anything.

I want to fix all of this, too.

You ain't weak. You've done plenty.

[He's definitely frowning at him now.]

If you get involved, they'll target you or maybe even arrest you.
