"In our first news item this evening, authorities say they have finally caught the hacker responsible for last week's government security leak. The imPort known only to authorities as "Skye" turned herself in to Heropa PD this morning, confessing to the crime and providing ample evidence of her involvement. What spurred this sudden confession, police are still trying to understand. Is she merely a pawn taking the fall for some larger organisation? We now switch to Lauren McMercer live, interviewing the policemen who made the arrest."

[The interview that follows of the officer is bland and doesn't really give much detail. There was no fuss to be had with the arrest; in fact, the whole thing was basically a non-event.]

[Jesse debated using his own money. He honestly did. A whole bag of it just waiting to go to some worthy cause, anyway. But in the end, when there's a legitimate option, he figures it's best to go with that. If the police could somehow trace the money to his side business, that'd make Skye an accomplice. That'd fuck her for good. She'd never see the light of day.

So it's Skye's money he uses to post bail, saving his own rainy day fund for some future shitstorm (of which, he's sure, there will be many). Saul will probably be glad to hear it later tonight, when Jesse stops by to flip a few tables and try-and-fail to get drunk.

For now, Jesse's pacing in the waiting area and glaring daggers at the nearest officers. He was through with the locals all the way back in July, and now he's barely keeping himself from a full-on outburst. Why's it taking them so long to bring Skye out now that he's given them the money?]

The officer in charge appears to give her a few condescending words along the lines of "Remember, no more pulling any stunts like that again, missy," before letting her through the doors. Contrary to her lackadaisical attitude on the network, she actually appears rather contrite in person. But, good as her word, she appears unharmed.]

[Ward's been following this case pretty closely, but his own problems have taken the forefront with hers - vaguely in the back of his mind. He can't let them go- A twisted sense of loyalty, a sense of responsibility that he just can't seem to shake.

Something about her had woken up something in him, that much was true. What was also true, what he realized was that she'd pulled the exact same stunt before and she had somehow once again made herself a valuable government asset.]

Shouldn't have had them publish your name.

Admittedly despite his floundering it's hard not to gloat. It's harder to suppress the sense of concern for her actions and for what her friends are going to do. support her probably. Since she seemingly had so much faith in them.]
