[could_be_dangerous]

In light of recent events it seems apt that I make an advertisement offering my services to the general public. I am Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective, amply acquainted with the solution of murders, thefts, arsons, and the generally unsavoury, etc. Inquiries of a general nature may be directed to me at any time, though I take cases at my own discretion, and will generally request an interview to establish both the particulars and the legitimacy of the case. The suspicious may refer to Dr. John Watson for a no-doubt superfluously effusive list of my general accomplishments, and when he proves unconvincing I should be delighted to provide a demonstration of my capabilities. In what will no doubt be vastly more appealing than any of the previous to some of you, I shall add that all services will be rendered entirely gratis.

Additionally, there may be some threadjacking here and there by the aforementioned Dr. Watson since it is his lot in life to babysit this gigantic infant, and if anyone would like to address him instead of Sherlock they can note as much in their subject lines.))

Well, you have to admit that you have very much in common with Diefenbaker, Ray. A certain solitary independence, one might even suggest it borders on obstinance; a preference for unhealthy foodstuffs; a standing dislike for open water...

Are you absolutely sure? Because I seem to remember it being the animal you transformed into when we reunited.

Well, Ray, my power is more of a connection to all the living things of the north, while yours is... Well, more of a connection to the people around you.

In any case, you could be better trained.

[ Fraser, he is so absurdly offended right now, you don't know what you've done. ]

And you could be less of a tight-ass but hey, I don't go round telling the general public that, do I?

Well actually, Ray, you tend to say a great variety of things about me to random strangers--and in my hearing, no less.

[cuff]

When've I ever called you a dog? [ He's only been saying nice things about you lately, yeesh. ]

I only said that you had a great deal in common with Diefenbaker, Ray. It wasn't meant to be insulting...unless of course you don't think much about Diefenbaker?

[cuff]

That's not what I meant and you know it. Askin' people how to train their partners, I swear, Fraser.

[dogsled]

Oh, I see. Well in that case, Ray, I'm terribly sorry for casting such aspersions on your character. I hope you'll forgive me.

[cuff]

[ ... because he doesn't have enough guilt in his life. ] Right, yeah, sure. I forgive you. Don't worry bout it.

[ He's just going to remove himself now. ]

Are you sure? I could make a public apology...

[ He's good at this. ]

[ He even knows you're bullshitting and this is still painful. ]

At least I can say with some certainty that you are not the one in the doghouse.
