fridgeflower: (my conception was shady at best)

Do you think that it's possible for people to be inherently bad? Not all the way, necessarily, but like maybe there's a bigger chance of messing up if you come from something bad, or like you've got some kind of latent seed planted deep that could burst someday.

I don't think that's true, if you look at it objectively. It still makes me really nervous sometimes, though, so I wonder if some part of me thinks it's a real possibility. I can't shake it off, so I get frustrated with myself sometimes.

I'm sure other people must feel like that. I'm sorry if you do.

Yeah. That's what I figure. You wouldn't be able to control anything. Like some puppet.

Reputations might stick, sure. But if you work at it you can change that. Make people see that you're different from your family.

Dad problems? Mine was a jerk but he had good intentions at least. I just didn't see it at the time.

Sure, your environment you grew up in plays a part but that's not entirely who you are. You still have a choice. A choice to move forward and be your own person. Whether that might be through non-moral means or otherwise, it's up to you.

You can't force it. Some people take longer than others to figure things and do it their own way. That's fine. So long as you keep moving forward, even just one step at a time.

I'm not the most patient either. But you do have time. As much as you need. You'll get there in your own time.
