[ Having fun with that age plot, everyone? Hiro admittedly hasn't been working quite as crazy hard on a cure this time around, but gosh darnit this is still mostly his fault and he's still got to do something. So here's another video post of him in his lab/garage (with the usual assortment of tech junk everywhere), moving back and forth between his computer and something juuuuust out of frame to the left. He keeps adjusting his new nerd glasses too, not quite used to the feeling of having them on his face just yet.

After a moment, he takes a deep breath and faces the camera. Hoo boy, how to phrase this. ]

So - uh - I know a lot of people kind of got their ages messed up? Like on Wednesday or so? About 6 PM?

[ Ughhh, he runs a hand through his hair. ]

The good news is, I know what happened. Because that was my experiment, and I'm really, really sorry to everyone who got messed up. The other good news is that it was supposed to wear off. Nanites and resilience and blah blah, you probably don't want details.

... It was also supposed to wear off in a couple hours. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that it should wear off, I just don't know when.

But if it doesn't, I'm working on something. Just - everyone hold tight? Don't play in traffic? What other responsible things are adults supposed to say at a time like this?

No way. Dude, spill, lemme see it.

Okay, okay. Prepare to be insanely jealous.

[ Since his room is just next door, he doesn't bother to get up and grab it - he just floats it around the hallway and through Tadashi's door. It's ... a disk? Yep, a disk with a small panel on top. ]

It's got hundreds of tools in here. I just key in what I want and his device unshrinks it and it pops out.

[tadeadshi]

[He eyes it closely as it floats into the room and just. Stares at it, squints trying to see how it works. He can't tell if it's tech or something else - he remembers Hiro mentioning something about how it worked before, but it's blanking out on him now that it's in front of him.]

Let me see it in action.

[ It's definitely tech - Hiro wouldn't be floating it otherwise. Though, for all they can work with it, the Pym particles might as well be magic. It's a darn shame this thing is so useful or Hiro might have attempted to take it apart already. There's a disaster waiting to happen. ]

Let's see. We're gonna need the portable electron microscope first...

[ He keys something into the top and sets the disk on the floor. Sure enough, something tiny slides out the slot at the front before rapidly popping back to full size. Boom, microscope. ]

[tadeadshi]

[Yeah but can Tadashi figure out how it works... Probably not with the Pym particles, no.

But his expression flattens. Okay, Show Off, get with it. Even if it is very cool to watch.]

Okay, what else.

[microbrobotics]

[ Like heck Hiro's not going to show off. He is being completely annoying and smug about it too. ]

Well, some stylii for sure, and then of course you need...

[ He just starts pulling stuff out, until he's basically set themselves up with a lab on Tadashi's desk. ]

[tadeadshi]

[TINY JEEERRRRRRK. But once everything's out, Tadashi's assessing their little mini-lab and moves a few things off the desk to make more room for actual work.]

I have to give it up, that thing is very cool. And he just gave it to you huh.

[Hiro why do all these tech gurus keep just giving you stuff for free.]

[microbrobotics]

[ Because nerrrrds. And good timing. ]

Sure did. Called it an investment. I figure I'll take him something I make with all this stuff and call it even, y'know?

[ Or, y'know, people manipulating him into making tech? Not the case with Hank obviously, but Hiro sure does seem to be doing a lot for random people without much of a filter. ]

[tadeadshi]

[Yeah, Tadashi's definitely going to try to keep closer tabs on who all Hiro is building things for and how they get in touch with him. But he looks over everything, already working out how all of this works with the sketch Hiro did earlier.]

You're really gonna have to go all out to pay this back.

[microbrobotics]

Right? It's amazing. There's so much amazing stuff here.

[ And Hiro is greedily soaking up every bit he can get his hands on. He always was better at recombining and finding new angles for concepts that had been around the block a few times; this is just proof of that. And it's way more apparent when he has all this good stuff to cross over and combine. ]

[tadeadshi]

[That's always been Hiro's strong suit, adapting pre-existing concepts and ideas into something new while Tadashi's was always providing the 'new'.]

Looks like it. C'mon, what are we doing. Talk me through this.

[He definitely wants to make this one if he can. Making the first main circuit of it is the first building block to everything else he could do with this.]

Okay, here. Watch closely. You start by doing this ...

[ He's not the best teacher, but he at least goes nice and slow so that Tadashi can get a good handle on what he's doing here. Slow work, alas, hard to replicate quickly. So far, anyway. He has a few ideas on how to do that too. ]

[tadeadshi]

[He leans in to watch carefully, taking note of how he's putting things together. It's... Definitely slow. But getting irritated at the speed is pointless when the work is this meticulous and he's never shied away from it. He jots down little notes to himself, not looking away from Hiro working the whole time.

It's any wonder that he was top student in his lecture classes.

But his eyes are big and bright and alive when he speaks again, like a kid given that red rider bb gun he begged for every year for christmas]

There's- Hiro, there's limitless potential in something like this. We could do so much with something like this, here and back home.

[microbrobotics]

[ And Hiro's just excited, so excited. The tech is exciting and working with his brother is just the best, hands down. This is how it should be. ]

Right? There's so much we could do with it. I'm already making my next limiter with some minor DNA circuits in it. And the armor, and really micro microbots, and ... I could hardcode everything to our DNA, y'know? No more getting our tech stolen ever again.

[tadeadshi]

Your next limiter, huh?

[Is it for Dean? Or Gabriel? He expects it's not for him, Tadashi would rather make his own with this to his own specifications once he gets the basics of how this works. But everything they could do...

He nods to the Pym disc.]

I'm thinking you may want to start with something already existing. And a little closer.

[microbrobotics]

Well, I mean, I have to finish it anyway, and he's got fire powers too, so ...

[ That doesn't actually narrow it down between Dean and Gabriel, admittedly. He blinks down at the Pym toolbot, not quite getting Tadashi's implication yet. ]

What, this? I can't take this apart. I don't know if I could get it back together again.

[tadeadshi]

Who says you have to take it apart?

[He holds up his injured hand, his own limiter jingling just so. Hi.]

Takes me... What? A minute to figure out how you could implement that [Nods to the new biotech] to the disc?

[microbrobotics]

[ Oh. Ohhhhh. Now he gets it. ]

You're talking about locking it to my DNA?

[tadeadshi]

Now you got it.

If this works the way it looks like it does, only you could use it, no one could steal your tools. Call it a test run.

[microbrobotics]

Then let's do it. That'd be amazing.

[ And it would sure lift a weight off his shoulders. One of his big fears here. ]

[tadeadshi]

[He smiles seeing the relief on his brother's face and leans to hug his shoulders.]

You got it. Long as you don't mind me doing my thing.

[Which sadly means, for now, taking the nullifier off completely...]

[ He can't even be scared of Tadashi's fire when he's this excited. He leans up to hug his brother back. ]

Go for it. I trust you.

[tadeadshi]

[Tadashi gives him a squeeze, pressing his face against Hiro's hair before letting go and.

Woo okay, first time taking it off consciously since he was in the car, and he'd been too tired to be nervous then. He sets the wristband on the desk, closer to Hiro just in case it needs to be grabbed quickly and slowly puts his hand to the disc.

And it's -- wow. Holy crap, it's not like anything he's worked with? But he gets it after a few minutes and pulls away from it.]

Holy...

[microbrobotics]

[ It sure is a dense little thing, what with hundreds of tools all shrunk down and packed in there. Plus the mechanism to pull them out and remove the particles without risk of everything exploding at once if that shuts down ... Pym makes good stuff, after all. ]

Yeah? Crazy, right? It makes my head hurt a little trying to feel everything in there.

[tadeadshi]

I know you said you had a ton of stuff in there but I didn't-- There's a lot of stuff in there, almost got a little lost.

But, no, I - [He runs a hand down his face, settling to rubbing at his mouth still looking at it.] I think I got it. And I'm pretty sure we can do it.
