[ As soon as the video feed begins, there is a face that is, perhaps, just a bit too close to the screen. ]

Ooh-! It's working!

[ And then she backs up, eyes brightened and a broad smile stretching from ear to ear. ]

Oh, my gosh! I can't believe that this is actually happening! Superpowers! An alternate universe!! Can you [ you being directed towards nobody in particular ] imagine the possibilities?

[ She spreads one of her arms out and upwards (quite dramatically), the motion causing her glasses to slide down the bridge of her nose. She pauses for a moment, and, afterwards, promptly straightens herself, her forefinger pushing her glasses right back up.

Maybe she got a little too excited for a second there. ]

Anyways, I should probably introduce myself! My friends call me Honey Lemon, and I look forward to spending some time here with everyone!

[ It's not often that there's silence between them, and she is about to break it when Tadashi does so first. ]

I read through them as soon as I got them!

[tadeadshi]

Yeah?

[Oh no is that nerd excitement on his face? MAYBE.]

Okay, you've gotta tell me. What powers did you get?

[honeyxlemon]

I'll show you!

[ She is literally so excited to tell him about them because, for her, she couldn't have gotten anything better. ]

You're gonna love this! [ Holding out her palm, she presses her other hand on top of it. Slowly, she pulls them apart, but now a small square shaped bit of iron is sitting in the center of her palm. ]

Control over all the periodic elements…and-! [ Her eyes narrow in light concentration, and the iron slowly begins to rust. ]

Chemical reaction manipulation!

[tadeadshi]

[He can't help lean in a little when she puts her hands together, waiting to see what happens.

His eyes widen and a grin spreads across his face. Oh, that did not disappoint.]

That is so cool. That is so cool, wow!

[honeyxlemon]

I know, right!? [ And potentially extremely dangerous, but she trusts herself enough. ]

Look, look, I can shape it too. [ Easily, as if she has clay in her hand, she rolls it up into a ball. ] It's like I have a chemical lab right in my fingertips. [ And there's still so much more to learn about it. ]

What about you?

[tadeadshi]

Seriously, perfect abilities for you, Honey Lemon.

[And he means that with all the sincerity in the world. He taps his fingers against his power limiter bracelet at the question.]

Little harder to show off, but I have healing and technopathy.

[honeyxlemon]

Ooh! Technopathy! Like..telepathy but just control over electronics, right?

And healing sounds wonderful! [ It definitely suits him, she thinks, and it causes her to smile. But she does have a question about it. ] But can't you heal your own injuries?

[tadeadshi]

Sort of? Hiro can move anything mechanical, he's calling it technokinesis. I touch anything mechanical and can... I guess 'feel' it, is the best way to describe it? After a while I can control it.

[He purses his lips at the question.] No, I can't heal myself. Tried a few times.

[He considers telling her about the pyrokinesis but... Yeah no one needs to hear about that right now, no one in the room having to deal with fire, nope.]

[honeyxlemon]

Wow! You'll need to show me how that works sometime!

[ Her head tilts to the side, and she taps her forefinger against her chin at his comment. How interesting. The ability to only heal other people. Still, knowing how selfless Tadashi is, it still suits him. ]

It's still really neat.

[tadeadshi]

Sure, definitely. And-- yeah, it is. I've used it some already, it's been a help to have.

[A lot easier for him to just take his limiter off than it is to find Ken and him summon his persona.]

And the job they gave you?

[honeyxlemon]

You're always looking out for others, aren't you? [ She says this softly and as a compliment. ]

Chemistry lab research assistant! [ It's not too different than what she's used to, at least. ] I'm excited to start!

[tadeadshi]

[He shrugs, leaning back against the counter. It's just... It's how he is, he can't help looking out for others.]

Oooh, yeah they definitely had you pegged when you got here. Lucky you, getting the good job on the spot.

[honeyxlemon]

I'm not sure how they figured it out, [ and she's not sure if it's a good thing that they did ] but it makes this place feel less foreign, if that makes sense.

[tadeadshi]

[He considers telling her for a minute about Fate controlling the porter but it might be a bit much for her first hour here. Something he'll coffee back to.]

No, I definitely understand that. I've been here for two months and it's still pretty foreign to me sometimes.

[honeyxlemon]

[ She's considers her response as she returns her attention back to her tea, which, despite room temperature at this point, she takes a sip of. ]

You and Hiro being here help too.

[tadeadshi]

[That-- His smile turns a bit more sympathetic towards her.]

You being here is a big help too. I'm glad we're here for you.

[honeyxlemon]

[ There's some hesitance before she speaks again due to the implications behind it, but it can't be entirely avoided.

He knows about it. That much became clear within the midst of their embrace. ]

I missed you.

[tadeadshi]

[He knows what she's getting at there - and his heart aches for it. He never would have wanted his friends to have to miss him, not like that.

Thank goodness his housemates aren't around. His voice is quiet when he speaks again, eyes watching her with the utmost sincerity behind them.]

I'm sorry.

[What else is there to say.]

[honeyxlemon]

[ The response causes a look of light shock to take over her features. ]

Oh-! I didn't mean-! [ She wasn't looking for an apology, not at all. She doesn't blame him for what happened. As far as she knows, nobody does. Tadashi was just being himself - kind, brave, selfless. ]

[tadeadshi]

[Yeah but he knows what happened after. He knows it was for nothing; Callaghan was just fine, he might have even set it himself. And seeing how it's affected his brother, he can't just accept 'it wasn't his fault'.

Tadashi moves over to her, kneeling in front of her chair]

I know you didn't. But- I meant it. I'm sorry.

[honeyxlemon]

It's..okay. It is, I promise. [ Honey extends an arm to place a gentle hand onto his shoulder. ]

You're here now, right?

[tadeadshi]

[He keeps his eyes glued on her for a few more seconds, fiddling with his limiter.]

Honey, I need to tell you.

The fire, it-- It hasn't happened to me yet.

[honeyxlemon]

[ Her lips mouth the word "what", but there is no tone to match it. Exhaling, her grip on his shoulder slightly tightens; she finds her voice. ]

That means..it could be avoided?

[tadeadshi]

I don't know. But we're working on it, me and Hiro. We're trying to figure out a way to change it from here.

When I got here, I'd just pulled Hiro aside after his presentation to talk to him. Hiro here said he's from about eight months after that night. So there's got to be some way.

Wouldn't we just need to be sent back?
