[So T'Challa's been here a day or so. He gets the gist. Time to address the public like all noobies do! People who know T’Challa may notice he has grown a beard in recent times, and is also wearing glasses. With how many people here that likely recognizes him, there’s little point in having another identity, so he won’t use the fake name he was given in Hell's Kitchen. But for now, he doesn’t see much of a point to change his civilian appearance.

If anything it will let others know what period of time he is from.]

Making network posts seem to be one of the more common ways to introduce ones self in this universe, so I have decided to not stray far from the normal routine. My name is T’Challa and I have been in this world for about a day. And despite a lack of... subtlety--[Such as HEROpa.]-- there doesn't appear to be many large differences between my universe and this one.

But even so, I do have a few questions. Questions mainly for those who have likely been here for a couple of years. Over the network I have seen talk about a world that took place before this one. “City” is the name I keep hearing. I am curious as to what this other “City” was like. How similar is this world to that one? Were these same laws still in place as well as the tattoos?

I was in the City. It was basically New York, but then it got eaten. We didn't have tattoos and the government never made us sign on to anything.

[This place needs more personable people!] I can't tell you anything first hand about the City, I wasn't there, but I've gotten some information from a bunch of people I could pass on to you.

Where I am from, T'Challa simply means "The One". I assume you have never heard of Wakanda? [Since she doesn't know wut coffee is.]

[Greetings fellow new person. George nods his head as a sort of informal greeting before he starts talking. He still looks like he needs a haircut, but finding a blade that will actually work on his hair is something he hasn't wanted to look into yet. He's still getting his barrings with everything else after all and his hair is the least of his problems.]

So you've picked up on people mentioning that too? I can't help you much with your question myself, simply because I'm still a bit of a new guy too. So far my day has been pretty good. I actually had bacon and eggs for breakfast and you would not believe how long it's been since I've had bacon.

[Eggs were common at the Mount because they had chickens...but no one had any pigs to bring and George wasn't sure how that would work anyway. He's trying to enjoy the "little things" now that he's not dealing with zombies.]

I have. I have actually come across it numerous times so far in my casual browsing through the network. [No heavy digging or anything was necessary.] It is nice to meet you as well, Mr. Bailey.

Honestly, it has been a little while since I have had eggs and bacon for breakfast. [Being in a coma and doing hardcore training will do that to ya.] Maybe here, I can feel more free to indulge a little.

The temporal placement is the same, between this and the one before, and most of the geography is, too. That is to say, land masses, and geologic landmarks; the countries aren't precisely exact. The laws were similar, I think, but I don't believe they're the same all over.

[ The voice is that of a young woman, mid-to-late teens, with a flat tone and a dry inflection. Her accent isn't quite native to American territories, but isn't easy to place outside them, either. ]

We were never marked like this, in that world.

I suppose those facts do not surprise me. From what I have heard the City was much like New York City back in the world I am from.

Which means these are all possibly just alternate versions of the same place.

The City was much larger than this one, farther north, in New York. As for the differences in policy, we had none of the handling we do here, simply an offer of housing and a weekly stipend. But we weren't as well-liked, either.

In the City there were many who would rather we not be there at all. But, given the negative impact our kind had on that world, they couldn't entirely be blamed.

Right. And I heard there was even a hate group that was put together that despised us? Vulcanus I think I heard the name was.

It is rather odd that in the other world people who were pulled in was hated, but in this one, things seem to be far more organized and the general populace doesn't fear us... [Which makes him worry about these tattoos that are on all of them.]

The City was New York, just with even more of an ego problem and no superhumans until we started getting 'ported in. That was... five years ago? I got there in 2010, and Iron Man and some of the others had been there about two years already.

I understand that this place is obviously on a separate timeline from our own, but still. It is rather hard to believe that you and Iron Man have been here for such a long number of years. Usually these matters are resolved rather quickly back home.
