[This is - not particularly a post that Max wants to make, but it's the quickest way to get her offer across, and the quicker they get to work, the better.]

I will keep this brief, as we are all rather busy right now, however I hope I may be of some use to anyone amongst us with scientific expertise.

My body has been infected with the virus that was brought into this world, but I am able to keep it from effecting my behavior, and from spreading to others. I believe this may allow a more compliant test subject than has been available until now, for those attempting to create a treatment or vaccination.

I've quarantined myself in my own apartment to avoid putting an extra body in the hospital, but if anyone requires my assistance for studying the virus, contact me here.

Everyone else, please listen to the authorities and stay safe.

I'm sure. I believe I'm still in the early stages of infection, but I will be able to keep the virus from effecting my brain.

This is going to sound nuts, but if anyone takes you up on that offer, just try and stay calm throughout the process. The virus is going to make it difficult, but stress, anger, those kinds of emotions make the virus spike.
It's what'll make you dangerous to whoever's with you.

But I only say this because I really have no idea how anyone could have the virus and withstand that kind of behavioral shift. Nobody's ever been able to fight that.

What I'm doing is a delicate process, the brain is... tricky, but I can avoid the most dramatic behavioural problems.

Just how are you able to manage such a feat? Holding the symptoms at bay?

Perhaps not the best time to bother with my silly questions. Can't help being curious. Really though, what you're attempting is quite brave.

Bravery doesn't really play a part, I only wish to help rather than harm.

As for holding the symptoms at bay, the power they gave me here has been useful in controlling my own mental state. Meditation has also helped.

[And she just took some benzodiazepines to help take the edge off. But no one needs to know that.]

So - Max, sitting on her bed, hair in a messy bun with no make up on. Which is rare enough on its own, but she also looks a little out of it, her breathing tightly controlled and her gaze somewhat unfocused. It's a combination of the virus, the concentration that's necessary to keep her brain clear of said virus, and the benzo she just took to help keep her calm.]

I'm relieved to hear someone is working on a cure and am entirely at your disposal. Do you have a lab here?

Honestly, my biggest frustration right now is well meaning friends with no self-preservation instinct.

I'm doing better than most, I suspect. Can I be of any assistance to you?

I am sure, but I'm also taking precautions just in case. I plan to avoid contact with anyone unless strictly necessary, and I do hope all the doctors involved in searching for a treatment are taking precautions as well.
