2nd Trick - Video
[Yomiel, or "Sissel" as he's been introducing himself, is sitting in an office chair at a desk with at least six glowing computer monitors around.]
You know, you always hear people griping about wasting their days away in an office or at some other lame job. Always saying they wish they could just do nothing all day long and have no greater purpose than that.
[He's experimentally fiddling with some cables and adapters on his desk space.]
People are always inclined to gripe. They're never satisfied with their normal, boring daily lives. But the moment that boring life looks to be over, they'll always scream and beg for things to go back to normal.
That's why I think being normal is underrated.
[He hesitates for a few moments, still fiddling with his cables.]
How many other people out there were dead before they came here? I bet every single one of us is thrilled to have a life again-- the more normal and boring, the better.
Unless, of course, your world has a particularly nice afterlife. Mine sure didn't.

[For him, anyway.]
Just walking through the world for all eternity, completely unnoticed.

[Might even prefer to spend time in Hell, eeesh.]

[Maybe there was an afterlife, of sorts. Though if there was, Yomiel wouldn't know what it was like.]
What about your world? You mentioned something called Purgatory?

➥ VIDEO | 1/2 man i'm so sorry
[Attentions hooked, lined, and sunk. The soft blue-glow from the phone echos from his throat and Greed frames a hand around to keep it from sliding off his outstretched thigh. As he leans back into the comfort of a worn down leather sofa, arm sagging casually across the top. He lifts his hand as he speaks, gestures with the spiraling out of his fingers.]
[It's casual, but erratic. A conflicting combo.] But being dead. Now that's interesting - [Because he's been dead. Permanent dirt nap not once but twice. An unpleasant experience, but then again: there's that old surprise just waiting around door number three.]
➥ VIDEO | PRIVATE 2/2
[He waves his fingers, as if ushering somebody away and his head turns with it. Making that blue-hum escape from the rounds of his shades.] Later. Found something interesting. [Greed's voice is slick-still. Like oil before he turns his attentions back to the conversation at hand.]
It shouldn't have been possible; takes a bit more to bring one of mine back. And the last time I remember well - [Free hand to his throat as he traces the dip for a moment.] - let's just say it wasn't something I could easily come back from.
So I guess you could say I'm thrilled, sure. Would have been a bit of a waste otherwise. [Greed clicks his tongue against the backside of his teeth and his head lulls forward. Getting a closer glimpse as his eyes narrow just slightly beyond his sunglasses.]
Now that I've told you mine, think it's fair you do the same.
I REGRET NOTHING
[Curiously, he permits the conversation to turn private. This is the first person who's gone into any real detail about being dead.]
So you were put back in one piece and brought back to life, huh?
[That's interesting... this place really could bring people back from the dead, it would seem.]
I suppose, but I didn't really ask you to tell me, you know.

[Another hand comes into view. Painted nails and thinner by design, they clutch a glass half-full. Wafting ice in between amber-orange.]
[Greed takes it with a brief look back.] You could say that, but it's a little more complicated.
[He snatches a bit of the booze that's slid from the edge, catching it with a slow-moving thumb.] No, you didn't. But information for information and I figured since I already did you the favor - [The Sin trails off. With a lip quipped up and the ice in his drink shivers and shakes when he sways his wrist.]
- it's called equivalent exchange.
[A pause to pull at his brand and Greed throws his head back. Downing ice, letting his teeth slice and turn them to shards before everything takes a trip down the hatch. When he finally breathes, half of it's gone and he sucks in his lower lip to clean off the rest.]
That is if you're really interested in that sort of thing.

But you weren't literally dead. It's looking like plenty of people were.

[Smile, wave.]
I didn't have any complaints about my life before this place, I rather liked it. I'm finding this go around to be far more frustrating.
As far as "normal" is concerned, well...I don't think I have the right to define what should be considered normal or not.
