I don't know what I saw yesterday, but I don't think I'm the only one who saw it.

I need information about a brainwashing facility that might have existed twenty, maybe thirty years ago. Or anything dealing with imPorts, if there's a record of that. I've been looking into it, but I haven't had a lot of luck turning anything up.

I want to know if that was real.

Your guess is as good as mine on how or why we were having these weird...hallucinations or dreams or whatever. Let alone some of us having the same ones.

But I mostly remember the guards being strict assholes and our tattoos changed, everyone's just said 'imPort' instead of us being designated as 'Registered' and all that. Our jobs changed, there were walls around the base to keep us in.

Yeah, that doesn't sound anything like what I saw.

I did see Olivier on a broadcast, talking to De Chima's imPort Ambassador -- only he was Secretary of imPort Affairs, and Olivier was talking about foreign expansion.

Wait, you mean the Major General? She was one of the Ambassadors? Or is this another Olivier? Foreign expansion sounds like a brewing war if you ask me, if Amestris's history is anything to go by.

It was definitely the Major General, but the news said she was a General of the Pentagon. She was mostly talking about how imPorts should be proactive about helping people outside America and make their lives better, with all the power they had. Secretary Hundred didn't seem to buy into that idea too much.

Well I guess she has been trying to cooperate with the government here. Thing is, do other countries want our help? I'd rather not potentially start any fighting over it. But I guess it's hard to say if these are like. Possible futures or what? When so many of us are having them, but different. A warning, someone's powers going nuts or what?

If so many of us experienced it at the same time, something must have caused it. The future's the future -- if you and I saw different things, I don't think we have to worry about it coming true.

But I'd like to know if this was deliberate or not.

Maybe not. Maybe it's just possibilities. I don't know. Regardless if it was an accident or not, this was pretty powerful to affect this many of us. Let alone some of us remembering things differently.

Have you ever dealt with something like this before?

Back home there were artifacts that could indoctrinate people, but it doesn't seem like anything on that scale.

[ And thank god for that, because if the Reapers showed up here Shepard would slam right back into mission mode. ]

Nope.

Indoctrinate? Those Reaper things I've heard you guys mention? That sounds. Pretty creepy.

Yeah. Seems like the Reapers left a bunch of things on different planets. People keep digging them up, going crazy, and babbling about dead gods.

The worst ones could turn them into husks. Synthetic creatures that only listened to the Reapers.

Well that's. Heavy? Damn. But at least we don't need to deal with that here. Or the homunculi for that matter. Those husks almost sound a bit similar to the army they promised the military.

[ HA. HA. HA. Don't even think about husks being in Heropa again, Ed, or Shep might explode. ]

You could think of them as foot soldiers for the Reaper's army. Not much in their head except for a will to destroy.

What are the homunculi, and why would they give anything to the military?

yeah that sounds about right.

the homunculi are artificially created humans. they were working with the military towards their own goals on their boss's orders, trying to get on the military's good side i guess.

[As if that were necessary. The military was already corrupt and under their thumb through the Fuhrer and his 'son' anyway.]

Artificial humans? I didn't think your world had technology that could create robots. Were they made with alchemy?

Somehow I'm having a hard time imagining the Major General letting anyone mess with her troops.

With alchemy, yeah.

but I'm talking more Central forces, not Briggs.

I didn't think that was possible.

Briggs was an outpost?

lot of things are possible with alchemy. doesn't mean all of them are legal or ethical though.

but yeah, up North. near the border between Amestris and Drachma.

Who's in charge of making sure alchemists play by the rules?

So that's where she gets experience defending borders.

well. the military, i guess. obviously not all of us are caught or found out though. things happen.

but yeah, pretty much. she's strict but she gets the job done. can't say her men aren't loyal, as far as i could tell.
