Not that I'm not flattered, and I mean, the job is great and all that. It's nice to know I have a way to support myself. But I think they got the wrong Gothamite. I can do computers, but I'm not really the hero type.

I'd say about how I was in the middle of stuff but that doesn't seem to be an actual concern to them.

Which is actually a little unsettling in people who want me to hero it up for them. And I've got to say, handing out powers to people you don't really know all that well yet and who just got sort of kidnapped? Not actually seeming like a bright idea from over here.

It's probably a long shot, but anyone know Terry McGinnis? [ just in case! you never know. ] Or know anything more than they've told us? It'd be nice to get more of the lay of the land.

Yeah, sure. Like at least two. Probably the same guy, different points in time. Usually the deal with the alternate universe thing.

Like, a long time. As in years. As in I was mid-puberty when I got here and I'm a legal adult now.

Most of us just survived the apocalyptic ending of the last universe we got kidnapped to, so lucky you, you get the shiny new alternate universe. Not in Kansas anymore, blah blah blah.

That's a really long time. There was a different universe you were kidnapped to before this one? Is that - where the Terry's were?

A few weeks. We're all still kinda settling in. Like you, basically.

Not really. Mostly just what they've told us. Which is probably at least 50% not the whole truth.

Yeah, I'm not really sure how much I believe their whole spiel. But I guess there's not much of a choice except to go along with it, for the moment.

Most of us were just glad not to be dead when we showed up here, so all the fine print didn't matter as much. That'll probably suck for some of us down the line somewhere.
