eight wild roars ✪ video; after the swear-in
[SUP IMPORTS. It's been awhile, hasn't it. Four months, he realizes as his communicator loads up the queue of his own posts in looking for the "new post" option. Not since he came back to disaster central after the Flare outbreak and dragon attack.
If he were the sort to appreciate such things, he might have noted an irony in the fact that he's finally posting again soon after yet another crisis.]
...Things have been pretty tough lately. It can get pretty exhausting to deal with, so I was thinking....it might be nice if we talked about stuff we've liked about being here, or moments that stood out as happy. Or, if you're new or can't think of anything, something you wanna do while you're here.
[A beat, and then he adds:]
Figuring out how to go home totally doesn't count as an answer, by the way. 'Cause the whole idea is, if you see something on here that maybe you'd wanna do, you guys could....I dunno, figure something out? It's always more fun to do stuff with your friends, yeah?
As for me, I've met a lot of great people here. Aaaand, I guess I still really wanna check out this world's version of Disneyland.
[he's an Adult, really.]

Personally, I'd like to road-trip. Specifically the Pacific Coast Highway and in general the West Coast. Just pack up some sleeping bags, rent a car (convertible preferably) and cruise down the coast with a couple of buddies.
video
[Too bad he couldn't ever really do an extended vacation like that. Even Disney for a weekend or something would be pushing it if there was trouble here. It's not a Porter city, after all. He couldn't come back quickly.]
Any places you wanna see, or is it more just about the journey for you?

I do agree though, everyone here has been extraordinarily kind. What's a Disneyland?
video;
...You mean like, the trees and stuff? You don't have trees where you're from??
[Well, that sucks. But def...initely a positive for this world in that case...?]
Anyway, Disneyland's this theme park--[wait does she know what a theme park is] uhhh, basically, like....a place with a whole bunch of fun things to do, like rides and arcades and stuff plus all the junk food and souvenirs--all based around these characters made by a company called Disney. There's a whole buncha movies, I dunno if they exist here too, but that's the sorta stuff the whole place's built on.
Mostly it's families and kids that go, but it's--kinda timeless, y'know? It's the sort of place that can make you smile no matter what age you are.

a huge manchildforever young at heart, anyway.]Re: video;

Somehow, I'm not surprised to hear you say that.
[Kotetsu periodically mentions going to one of those Disney parks in the future. He's never subtle about it, either.]

[Kaito looks like he's seriously considering this one. There's a first time for everything apparently.]
Well, the friends I've made, since I wouldn't know any of them back home. And I finally got to debut on a stage as a professional magician.
[A pause.]
And I kinda want to see Japan, to see how different it is from home.
Y'know, I think that first one's probably common to all of us. Mighta cheated a little bit picking that one for myself, too.
[But honestly, the only other option besides that one would be that he's not losing his Hundred Power anymore, and that's not something he talks about with his real name attached.]
A professional magician, though, huh? The rabbit-outta-a-hat kind or something more literal? [since. he's assuming you don't mean the "enslaves demons and uses them to oppress the mass public" sort of magician here.]
I think I'd like that too, though, visiting Japan. I've only been there a couple times before, but I always meant to go back for another trip someday.
[But, you know, life happens.]

[Because Josuke counts himself as pretty lucky despite having had to endure a few unfortunate events. He's met some incredible people here, and he's gotten the chance to do a few remarkable things.]

[You know, except for how he misses his family pretty much all the time and deals with it by not dealing with it, as one does. Like now, when he's ignoring that very depressing line of thought with a bit of a devilish grin.]
Friendship stories totally count, for the record. The more embarrassing, the better.

Great speech, fella. Really inspiring.
I just got back from a trip abroad, so my quota's filled for now. Disneyland sounds fun, though. Didn't a bunch of people go not too long ago?
audio!
Yeah, they did. Some friends of mine were on it. Not the sorta thing they woulda wanted an old man like me on, though.
[A bit of a self-deprecating chuckle.]
But maybe someday, I dunno. Where'd you go, though? Any wacky travel stories for us?

Time to sound cheerful, then. ]
I am new, actually. I'm still getting my head around that.
Do you mind if I ask - how long have you been here?
video
[But that's a sobering thought, isn't it, and this post is all about cheerful things and reassurances, so...]
But don't worry, alright?? You might not be here that long. A lotta people seem to get sent back in a month or two. In the meantime, if you've got any questions or need anything, just ask us, alright? We'll help you out for sure.
