...October is next month. October is Halloween. Back home, never did go trick-or-treating because it was honestly an American ideal, you know? But look--look--

Hey, don't feel too badly about not knowing. It was a pretty new concept to me, too, until I studied up on it.

Basically? You dress up as a scary monster and go door-to-door asking for candy.

[Glancing over at Hide once he finishes from where he's crouched on the floor over a large plastic tub that Oreo is taking a bath in. He casts a mildly confused growl in Hide's direction.]

I think people might be more put off because of your age than your status as an imPort. [ He's not exactly sure of the rules and regulations of Halloween but it did seem highly marketed at kids mostly. ] Still, maybe you could get enough people's attention about this that there will be plenty of imPorts giving out candy too.

[Unfortunately, that familiarity only goes one way. Kaneki hasn't told Hide about the Quinx, any other CCG members, or even about the existence of 'Sasaki'. So this eyepatched person is definitely going to get a friendly smile--one that will sort of whittle down into a sulky expression due to the age comment.]

There shouldn't be an age limit on fun, you know. That makes getting older seem like such a drag, you know. Like, if someone told you that once you hit 19, you can't drink milk tea anymore, only green tea. Right?? [Clearly, he feels so strongly about Halloween.]

But hey, you got a good point. My roomate might not go out for it, but you bet I'll be having him pass out candy while I'm gone.

I have a friend who would definitely agree with that. Still, I guess they figure it's something for kids because most kids can't just go out and buy all the candy they want where adults typically can.

[ Though honestly, Saiko probably wouldn't be for Halloween unless they were giving out games along with the candy. ]

I'll probably hand some out myself. It sounds fun.

My only experience with trick-or-treating, or any of Halloween's traditions, have been as an imPort. Granted, that was on another world entirely, but I don't see why the practice wouldn't be possible on this one.

Though I would recommend taking care in deciding where you do it.
