[Due to being mostly bedridden/stuck in Nonah 05 for a whole month, Tetsuo's fallen deep into the black abyss that is mobile phone games, and may or may not have spent way, way too much time at a stupid rivalry with another user. Even though he's technically mobile again now, he had to finish this once and for all for reasons.

Attached is a screenshot from a very, very bored teenager who's sick of being stuck in the house and needed something to gloat over.]

[Note: the game in question is completely fake, but it's an expy of Snake.

here is a cheat sheet for who everyone on the scores list is (if you'd like to be one of the remaining two, hit me up on Plurk @Crobatman). Since the game assigns names randomly unless you pay to get a custom username, no one necessarily has any idea who the others are. Scores clear quarterly, don't worry, this isn't permanent.]

[Kaneda's finding it hilarious at least, smirking as he leans against the oven, stirring egg with chopsticks in a measuring cup.]

[Actually it took him forever and there's absolute evidence of that from checking the scores, but...

[He pulls up his game on his comm a moment, checking the scores there, too.

Giving a low, impressed whistle.]

[For once, Tetsuo actually looks surprised, but less instantly defensive. That's not the response he usually gets - when Pan does that, he leaves it at that, hollows out any victory, minimizes any achievement by pointing out his failings in he process. It's very telling that Tetsuo seemed to expect the same here, but Kaneda doesn't even seem sarcastic as he checks the scores for himself.

It's like he's almost forgotten what it's like to genuinely impress someone for more than a second or two.]

[And then the moment's over, and his guard slams back down.]

...Like you could. Go ahead, Kaneda, waste your time trying!

[Except seriously, try. He'll totally check back later]

[Oh he plans on it, don't worry.]

Yeah? I had you beat for a good while there. Who says I can't now?

[It's nice, being competitive with him again. And truth be told, it was pretty impressive. When Tetsuo wanted something, he got it.]

I work in an arcade! You think you stand a chance against me?

[Never mind that he's only got a few months at gaming under his belt. The important thing is he got there first. For once, ever, he's got proof of beating Kaneda at something - Kaneda can hope to match him, but this clearly says the guy is never gonna be better. Not at this.

It never occurs to him he could, but if he was born to another kind of life he'd want to frame this for posterity.]

[Well, only a few months or not, it's definitely more than Kaneda's got. Maybe a couple years of pinball under his own, but that's about it. He doesn't say anything for a moment, pouring a little egg into the frying pan before he speaks up again.]

It's Unagi. All you do is move the arrows to make the eel eat the white dots!
