I've just got two questions. [ for now, at least. ] One, what's this nonsense about super powers? And two... [ now her expression changes to something that's purely 'I can't believe this shit.' ] who knows anything about dogs?

Unfortunately, we do. Will and I came into contact often due to my line of work at home.

Will made some mistakes and got a friend of mine...hurt. [ which is the nice way of saying 'hella dead' ] And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Not that she doesn't trust Freddie-- she doesn't anything Freddie at this point, they don't know each other. But she owes it to Will as her mentor to give him a chance to explain that particular statement from his own perspective first, before she starts jumping to conclusions.]

Well, that about uses up my list of people I know who are good with dogs. Sorry.

I'm sure I'll find someone else who's good with dogs. After all, it seems like there's a lot of people here.

Yeah, you're sure to find someone. I've never had pets, or I'd offer to help myself.

That makes two of us. Never had them as a kid, too busy for them now.

Oookay. Why even do the job if you don't care about doing it properly? Why not just... take off and find something else you actually like doing?

Because I need money. I know what I want to do, and I'm going to need some money to start it up.
