So...The days are short, the air is cold (except in Heropa), and all of us are struggling with lingering embarrassment from all those mis-sent texts. So, to give us all a bit of cheer, and in recognition of all the holidays we've constructed to help us deal with winter, I thought we all could give one another a bit of love.

So! How does this work, then? Well -

1. Go ahead and post your name in this post.
2. People respond to you with things they like about you, lovely moments you've shared, et cetera.
3. You go out and respond to others with things you like about them.
4. NO BEING AWFUL. Do NOT give backhanded compliments or secretly troll people or things like that. The point of this is to be good to one another. Go be good to one another!

Oh! You know. It means being rude, essentially. Trying to provoke people by saying things they definitely wouldn't say in person.

Oh, more that if you go around with a particular mindset, you get used to that mindset. Cruelty to others breeds cruelty more broadly. If you look for things to hate, you'll find things to hate - in others, in the world, in yourself. I don't necessarily believe what they say, that people turn cruel to others out of self-loathing, but I do believe that cruelty to others breeds self-loathing.

Is it? I think of it as just being behavioral. 'If you act shitty you'll get into shitty habits.'
