text, memeing it up

Hullo, all.

So...The days are short, the air is cold (except in Heropa), and all of us are struggling with lingering embarrassment from all those mis-sent texts. So, to give us all a bit of cheer, and in recognition of all the holidays we've constructed to help us deal with winter, I thought we all could give one another a bit of love.

So! How does this work, then? Well -

1. Go ahead and post your name in this post.
2. People respond to you with things they like about you, lovely moments you've shared, et cetera.
3. You go out and respond to others with things you like about them.
4. NO BEING AWFUL. Do NOT give backhanded compliments or secretly troll people or things like that. The point of this is to be good to one another. Go be good to one another!

You certainly sound certain about that.

Why not? Or rather, does he?

He doesn't want children either. I don't think any of the imPorts are capable of having children, anyway. I have a theory that the nanites act as a means of birth control. But I haven't found any imPorts willing to prove or disprove that theory.

Really?

Not that I want any more children, but built-in birth control still seems invasive to me. Certainly something that govenrments have been sued over before.

It's true. But imagine if any of us had a child and then were ported out. Imagine if powers were passed on through genetics. While it might be unethical, I think it's saving this world a lot of unnecessary trouble.

And fortunately, I don't believe many of the imPorts here have even given this any thought. So their ignorance is bliss in that sense. We don't need to start any more needless temper tantrums about the nanites and how horrible they are.

It would be educational. Not that I'm suggesting anything as unethical as that [ he is ] but it would be interesting to see if our DNA's been change so much as to make our children superpowered too. Perhaps even able to be taken to and fro with its parents.

[He knows what angle to play here, anyway.]

[ Hm. ]

The only long standing couple I know who have the remotest possibility of procreating is Will and April. But I think they have their hands full with the zoo they call a house. But we could probably look into sterility at the least. Just to prove whether or not my theory holds true.

With the proper medical procedures, I can't imagine it would be difficult. But I don't think anybody gives enough of a shit to even want to subject themselves to that.

Probably not. Getting my fertility tested doesn't sound like a good time to me.

[personal profile] flowerette 2017-01-11 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
But if I was the one testing it?

As charming as you are, nobody's charming enough to make that an appealing prospect.

But I can certainly test yours, if you're interested.

Cruel. I thought we were friends.

Do you usually poke around the nethers of your close friends?

[can he watch?]
flowerette: ([ 103 ])

[personal profile] flowerette 2017-01-21 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well, my CLOSE friends often get to poke around mine as well. Frederick and I are very open so long as the other is present.

[ Oh, god. It's just another, shitty version of the Monarch and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch. ]

How very adventurous of you.

And it's a proposition I doubt the good Doctor would feel kindly towards.

And why is that? What did you do to him?

[ Because Chilton is such a perfect angel. ]

[personal profile] musclemothers 2017-01-26 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
What did I do to him? That's rich, really! I'm surprised he hasn't told you about me yet.

No, he's just insistent on going all armchair psychologist on my ass.
flowerette: ([ 36 ])

[personal profile] flowerette 2017-01-28 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
And that bothers you? If you have nothing to hide, it shouldn't bother you.

That's bullshit and you know it.

I only know that the people who react the most volatile to Frederick's advances are the ones he inevitably winds up treating.
