I guess that could work, but it'd still probably have to be a genie doing it. I don't think anyone else gets in on the wish-granting game. I've never heard of anyone else doing that, at least.

Maybe... I don't really know enough about wishes to say one way or another. I know genies weren't mentioned in the story, but I don't think they went into detail about how the paw became cursed.
