I consider it something of an open secret that the Porter is alien technology that for whatever reason has allowed itself to remain in the keeping of the American government. My own concerns and expertise revolve around advanced technology other species have been to believe they simply 'found' by chance.

From what I would greatly appreciate from other imPorts is to pool their knowledge into a sort of database I'm hoping to build. Specifically, where alien technology and species are concerned. I understand it that we're not all humans, or from Earth. It would be immensely helpful if I could be educated by you and begin cross-referencing what I've found to work on removing the veil cast over our host.

An associate of mine had spoken with Moira Nomos and confirmed that the Porter was discovered in the Atlantic and that their suspicions of it being off-world mirror our own. We've encountered something like this before, and we're working from there.

It's actually quite a common occurrence for some species to have achieved interstellar travel or contact with another race only for these events to be lost in the sands of time. [ Miranda liked saying very grim things like it were somehow good news. ]

From what a colleague was able to extract via a brief conversation with Ms. Nomos everything from my own experiences and several others led us to believe that the Porter is in fact some manner of alien technology, but other than that we're unfortunately in the dark about what lies outside out own borders.

We're hoping to remedy this.

I believe the theory is well and open for debate with enough unanswered questions to justify delving further into that possibility among many. And that cross-referencing what I'm able to glean from other imPorts might well be the key to answering some of our questions.
