Any helpful technologically capable people out there might help me out and work on encrypting conversations below here for the sake of freedom of discussion.

I don't like talking on these, and I'm not good at it, so pay attention. I've included two attachments to this broadcast, and none of the dramatic bullshit we've seen on national television lately. This is all information I've been given by Lieutenant Ananke. Any questions in specific to those contents within should be directed to her, through her contact line programmed onto your device. Or stop by in person. I don't care.

The first is a list of imPorts and native heroes who went missing following events in 2008. Some are reported dead, others only as missing. These names should be familiar to anyone who attended the swearing in last month, where we were witnessing the opening of the memorial graveyard. Not all of these names are there. Not all families wanted a memorial. Not everyone thinks these people are truly gone, or truly dead.

The second is a series of video recordings of a handful of these people. I'm hoping that you can help me identify everyone in attendance - some recordings are labeled with names. They match up to descriptions on file. It also means we have a few more faces to put with names. I've guessed that the young blond man we see in the last two videos is Liam Lawson, a younger native hero. I believe the woman he isn't with, the one sitting down, may be Eleni Wang, who hasn't been heard from since going underground in 2008. I'm not positive, so here's the floor, open for discussion.

Further, myself and several others have been pursuing investigations into the Hornets, localized to the city of Nonah. It's not all swift moving, but I hope that each person will be sharing information on what they learn as they learn anything. I'm presently investigating one of the former students at Phillip North's gym, but if that provides information, I won't know for a while yet. Liam Lawson is also being investigated by another of those who expressed interest, and I'd recommend he share that information, even if it's a dead end, with the imPorts when he has a chance.

I don't care how much or little you trust the government. I don't care how often you want to piss into the wind. There's too much shit going on for me to care about bickering over those details, between Russia sitting on ships staring down Alaska up North, to puzzles pointing toward concerns further South and outside this nation, to the fact that Lunatic, one of our own, has been murdering people, and tried to incinerate a seventeen year old civilian earlier today for having been involved in a drunk driving incident that ended another's life.

Cut to the chase. What else is happening that we should know about? Enlighten me.

[ It's a very mild correction, because Annie agrees - it is good to have in a scary way. For all the headaches and worries that come attached, it's nice having someone who can understand. More than any of the rest, Reiner can. He's the most gregarious... it was most difficult for him to be what they are. ]

Selfishness is a trait of humanity... not an inherently bad one. Just common. [ A pause. ] Are you homesick?

[raincheck]

Not really.

[ he's homesick for a time that's long passed; he's homesick for bucky and for peggy.

( if it's true that you're not supposed to make homes of people, it's a lesson no one ever taught steve, at least not successfully. ) ]

At least not for the world I'm from as such.

... You say a lot of confusing things. What does that mean?

[ Genuine in curiosity... and genuine in saying he's confusing. So it goes. ]

The things and people I miss have been gone a long time. [ he smiles a little. it's fine. really.

and to avoid further confusion: ] I crashlanded a plane in the Arctic and spent almost seventy years frozen.

... That's not something I thought was humanly possible to survive.

[ Freezing, in a sense, but being suspended in animation for seventy years isn't... farfetched on her world. The reason for it is hellish, but it happens. ]

I think I finally better understand what you meant by being part of American History.

[raincheck]

I wouldn't have, if not for the serum.

Serum?

[raincheck]

That's how I got my powers. A serum developed by Dr Erskine.

You were injected?

[ wow that's entirely uncomfortable in a thought process ]

Yeah. [ his shrug is almost audible. ] Made me a lot taller.

[lyingheart]

Your body could withstand that?

[ It's not like the process is simple - that's a significant alteration to bone and muscle structure. Annie represses a shiver. ]

Was that all?

[raincheck]

Yeah. [ he doesn't mention the bit where no one had been sure that it could. ]

It made me stronger, too, and a bunch of other things.

[lyingheart]

... Did you like who you were by the end of it? Before you were frozen.

[raincheck]

It didn't really change me. Well, physically it did — let me do things I couldn't have done otherwise.

[ and still, for all his strength and speed and power, he didn't reach bucky's hand in time to keep him from falling, but that's a failure too personal to bring up in casual conversation. ]

[lyingheart]

One would think that'd have some effect on your confidence.

[ Said lightly; simply because being able to do what you couldn't before is an affirmation of something more. She's seen it with Eren... also been there to hear his death announced (for all it turned out to be premature in nature). ]

[raincheck]

I wasn't exactly great at accepting my physical limitations before.

[ is said with an almost amused undertone. ]

[lyingheart]

Stubborn.

[ It's not a censuring word. There might be some trace of amusement in her own voice. (Eren, again, and Armin, too, but not Armin as he's been changed in this place.) ]

[raincheck]

You're not the first one to call me that.

[lyingheart]

Not likely to be the last, either. It can be a useful thing, to be stubborn. At other times, less so. It depends.

[raincheck]

I don't really do it for its usefulness.

[lyingheart]

You sure about that?

[ If he stubborns through things, it is useful - to him - in never giving up. Still, it's more of a light jest than anything else. Personalities are personalities. Annie herself is stubborn, and yet she keeps giving ground to more stubborn personalities over what she doesn't consider as important to her. ]

[raincheck]

Sometimes it'd be easier to just lie down and take it, right? [ is said conversationally. he doesn't really believe it. ] But once you start running, you never stop.

[ so he's stubborn, and he never gives up. it's necessity as much as anything else. ]

I don't believe that's true... but I understand the sentiment.

[ About running. Annie has had to stop, so for her, she knows it isn't true so much as it being hard to ever change and break away from the way you've been for so long. As a knee jerk response for survival or not, going with the flow, running to try and escape the things she can't really outrun... it's simply what's been. ]
