Good evening, my name is Walter Strickler. I'm a new arrival here, and I thought it best that I introduce myself. More than that, actually, I was hoping to ask a question.

I am in the midst of familiarizing myself with the history of this world, and how it differs from my own... Most of the discrepancies have been fairly minute, others less so, but it lead me to wondering about other worlds. Your worlds, and the histories theirin; if you care to share them. I suppose I'm just curious, is it common for most of us... "imports" to be from worlds that are similar, or ones that are vastly different? Is there anything here that has struck you as odd?

[There's a small pause, an aside glance, as he arranges the wording of his next question carefully.]

And, are 'powers' common where you're from? Whether it be mutations, magic, or anything of the sort. Are these things familiar to you?

Please do forgive me if I take a moment to understand anything you have to share. I must admit, I am still attempting to process all of this... But I would not want to have anyone feeling put-out for my misgivings. Thank you. I look forward to getting to know you all better.

So, uh... I got kind of a weird question. Bear with me here. Do any of you find that you get memory problems sometimes? I'm not talking, like, when you get ported out and get ported back in and everything just goes poof!, or forgetting where you put down your keys or what have you. More like - there's something important you feel like you're forgetting about.

You know, I don't super trust any government, ever, but this kind of just drives home that like everyone behind a desk is probably a little evil or at least really unethical.

[ It's pretty clear from the get-go that he doesn't know how to say what he wants to say. This sucks comes out in a sigh after a moment, a hand scrubbing down his face and shoving his hair back from his face. Treat it like a vlog, he guesses? Something something talk to the camera, organize your thoughts and then hope that familiar faces are here and have a plan to get back home. ]

Gotta say - not a huge fan of being recruited against my will? Not that - I mean, not that it's your fault, assuming nobody I'm talking to secretly did it. But you'd think if they need our help they'd at least ask nicely before deciding to make any changes. I didn't ask for any ink? I mean I'm pretty sure it's not actually ink, but you know. And if I did it wouldn't want this. Actually, I was pretty sure I couldn't get tattoos for like, kind of obvious reasons, and now I can't get it off. So kudos to them for being second most irritating kidnappers I've ever had.

Anyway... Hi. I'm Josh. And I actually have a question - do I have to work retail? Because I'd really like to not work retail. And I guess I should ask what I'm in for since y'know [ he gestures to the gold skin ] this is kind of hard to hide. [So here’s an ID that hasn’t been seen on the network for a while: Tim Drake-Wayne. Tim’s opted for a text post because he doesn’t want to deal with responses in real time immediately. Coming back and finding out that the few months he was gone, from his perspective, was actually closer to two and a half years here is…. weird. And he’s not sure how to feel about the many people who’ve pretty much just disappeared without a trace, from his perspective.]

Hey. This is Tim Drake-Wayne, from Gotham. I was here a couple years ago, although it doesn’t feel like nearly that long for me? This is so weird. I guess I just wanted to tell anyone who knows/knew me that I’m back, and… let me know if you’re still here, please? I’m still trying to figure out what’s changed since I’ve been gone, so if anyone’s willing to fill me in on the broad strokes, I’d appreciate it.

I'm not going to ask any of the "who, what, where" kind of questions. Given the briefing and the fact that this place has apparently been doing this for a while, it'd probably be kind of pointless.

And I've got to say... the super-powers thing is the most unexpected part of all of this. Never had much need of them before, though I can't say I wasn't jealous of Karen sometimes.. Still... definitely unexpected. Anybody else dealing with first time powers?
