When the video turns on, it's the face of a blond man, artificial light and the odd backdrop of two awkward looking trees, dirt and one giant worker ant, who took a moment to tilt its head curiously at the man before moving on. ]

I know we're all busy with our own lives so I'll try to make this short.

When we were brought into this world, some of us were given new sets of powers. Others may have had powers that they had from their own world, powers that they were already used to. I was one of the latter case. My powers involve size changing, from the 25 feet tall to being small enough to be able to interact with subatomic particles. It's a power that I've come to know, inside out. It wasn't an easy progress, I had a myriad of molecular instability that affected my life in a very personal way.

So I can understand what some of you who are dealing with these new powers are going through. You don't know the limits to what you can do, and we don't know either. That makes for a potentially dangerous situation, to both yourself and everyone else.

What I'm proposing is a training centre. I know we have government facilities here that are equally suitable for that but there are those of us who are uncomfortable with the idea of any government involvement. This will be a facility that's imPort funded, established and operated, so that we have a building of our own, outside of the government's eye. It won't matter if you're registered or not, the main priority of this is to make this place available to all imPorts.

I don't exactly have any concrete plans right now, a few blueprints and ideas off the top of my head. I'd like to hear what everyone's input on this before anything is done about it, especially those with new powers and those outside the law, so to speak. But all input is welcomed.

Something in his manner just doesn't make me think of a hero who had fallen into what he is now. And if so, I think he had only ever intended that as a step into something greater.

He doesn't strike me as a man who only acts for survival, or who has ever considered the well-being of others for its own benefit. No, he seems like a man what he does is done because it simply appeals to him, and anyone broken along the way is simply an acceptable casualty.

[ basically: "he was a jerk when i spoke to him and he's manipulating my girlfriend, he must absolutely be the worst kind of person." kanaya is a very objective person, clearly. ]

He was never a hero. [ said a bit quick and hard. He's still not quite over his take over, calling themselves Avengers. What a dick. ] He may claim to be that, doing things for the public, working for the public. But eventually, he slips up and shows his ugly side to the world.

I don't think I need to elaborate on that. [ A beat; hank considers the reasons why she could say all those things without hesitation. It's definitely something more personal and he's wondering how much he can pry into that. ]

You have a bit too much knowledge about Osborn.

[ she lets out a sigh, hanging her head as she runs her fingers through her hair. ]

That someone I know may be very...close. [ understatement of the year, really. there is no one in any world more important to her. ] If what you told me is true, then the implications for them are very dire.

[ Fuck Norman Osborn. Fuck that guy, man. ]

Is it safe to take them out of the situation they are in now?

If it were, don't you think I would have already? The revelations I've had about his character since learning of it only make it more...precarious.

If someone is to be removed, it will need to be him. [ preferably with a chainsaw. ]

Maybe they didn't want to.

[ Absently, Hank draws a black box on a piece of paper and starts connecting. ]

I need to know more. Is there anything else you can tell me about the person in question, that you feel safe enough to tell me?

[ it's when he directly asks that her defensive reflexes start to flair up. what if this whole thing was a mistake? ]

No. I'm sorry, but I've probably told you too much already.

I can't [ He sighs and recollects ] I know he has a lengthy list of horrible deeds, but I can't get the help I need to put him away if the only reason I have is because someone told me that he did bad things or that he might do bad things.

[ she's not sure why she's surprised. for all that adults talk about how she shouldn't be on her own while a minor, it's been a very long time since she's had any real support from them. she was always going to be heading this one alone, she ought to get used to that. ]

[ It's probably one of the worst things to hear. The disappointment that isn't really there, but you feel like it should. Someone came with a problem, and he had returned them with empty hands, not even an idea of a solution in hand. ]

If there was anything to find before, the evidence will be slimmer here. Nothing we have goes back more than two months.

[ and looking in too far may just lead him to rose. she is the one wearing the mask, after all. that's the reason she can't direct hank to peter, she's afraid he may know too much already, and if he doesn't, spider-man might.

I'll keep it in mind, but trouble towards myself isn't what worries me. I'd gladly suffer it, if it meant trading places.

[ He wants to say that that doesn't have to be case. They don't have to trade places they could solve this. But it sounds hollow so he bites his tongue metaphorically and nods, even though she can't see. ]

Soon or later, there'll be something. And you don't have to go through it yourself.

Maybe not. [ but she doubts she won't. ] I suppose we'll just have to see.
