This is Major-General Olivier Armstrong. If you can ignore the bevy of Imports wasting our time with their age-changing frivolity, I have an announcement to make.

It's no secret that whatever their other feelings towards us, the natives of this world recognize that we Imports pose a threat to them. For how could we not? We have powers they can scarcely conceive of, let alone match. Even a single Import could outclass a regiment or more of this nation's army.

Therefore, I am hereby announcing the formation of RISE: the Rogue Import Suppression Enforcers. We Imports shall police and judge our own, apprehending those among us who would prey on the most vulnerable of this nation's native population and passing sentence as necessary.

Those among you who wish to lend your aid to the RISE mission are welcome. I await your questions.

Ah, and predictable as well.

[He'll give it a moment. But he's dealt with this type. Most likely her next response will be to glare more, make another snappish, serious remark, maybe berate him slightly, and then disconnect. Or just disconnect all together. Predictable. That blonde hair too... reminds him of someone. So he sighs, continuing on, lifting a hand slightly as he shrugs.]

A group of enforcers ontop of the other ones arranged here? Isn't it a bit silly considering those of us Registered here should already be doing that?

Hardly. Registering means you get a job, a bed and a stipend. This is for those with a sense of duty and the skill to carry it out.

You wouldn't agree with that decision comes responsibility? Or those that make the choice to Register merely do so to take advantage of those who give it to them?

I don't know what everybody's individual reason is for it, and I don't care. Some want to be heroes, some just want to not worry about where their next meal comes from.

I want people who actually give a damn.

Now now, that's not how you gain allies. Underestimating my abilities, something like that doesn't seem to suit a woman like you- unless you're more careless than I thought.

Then just what are you talking about? [Isn't everything he can do an 'ability'? His ability to comprehend, his ability to fight, his ability to multitask, to swim, to eat. It all counts, gosh.]

Understanding them isn't difficult at all. Understanding most things isn't usually what ends up being the difficult part, it's doing them. Though as far as a sense of duty goes, I can extremely dedicated.
