This is Major-General Olivier Armstrong. If you can ignore the bevy of Imports wasting our time with their age-changing frivolity, I have an announcement to make.

It's no secret that whatever their other feelings towards us, the natives of this world recognize that we Imports pose a threat to them. For how could we not? We have powers they can scarcely conceive of, let alone match. Even a single Import could outclass a regiment or more of this nation's army.

Therefore, I am hereby announcing the formation of RISE: the Rogue Import Suppression Enforcers. We Imports shall police and judge our own, apprehending those among us who would prey on the most vulnerable of this nation's native population and passing sentence as necessary.

Those among you who wish to lend your aid to the RISE mission are welcome. I await your questions.

I'm guessing since the military's allowing this, you're only allowed to take the Registered, right? How're you gonna keep the system fair for the unsettled?

I intend to operate at my own discretion. Registered or unsettled, provided you're not a liability.

And...they're letting you do that? I thought the whole "only the registered can fight crime" was like, a cornerstone of their whole dumbass system.

I believe I've earned enough good will and respect to propose such a thing. Should all possible resources not be put towards working for the greater good?

Oh--no, I don't have a problem with that at all. Just...I'm kinda shocked they're gonna accept that. They've been pushing so hard for registration all this time, so...

...No one unsettled is gonna get in trouble for joining up? For real?

That's my hope. I think I've earned enough goodwill at this point to get them to look the other way.

And if they wanna bar unsettled people entirely?

There's people here from a world where the whole registration thing got really ugly--they might not be comfortable with a squad of registered enforcers being an actual authority figure for imPorts, rather than the informal way we've been banding together to take down criminals like Lunatic.

Then I'll figure something else out. I don't intend to enforce a caste system. I want the most qualified people and don't give a damn about their politics.
