[ will had told abigail to stay away from some people (one people) in particular and she's pretty good at it when it comes to person to person stuff, but she knows the network opens her up to the possibility of running into them so to speak.

but she's doing it anyway, it's not like abigail is known for good life choices.

so here she is, chin propped in her hand as she sits at what looks like a dining room table. her long brown hair is down around her shoulders, as always, neatly covering her scars. things abigail will never get: a hair cut. ]

So, considering the recent events, I'm curious. Who here believes in god? Capital G, maybe lowercase, whatever one you like. It's probably been asked before, but-- [ she shrugs. she wasn't here, so she doesn't care. gonna ask it again. ] Devil and Heaven and all that jazz applies, too.

Makes sense. Easy to prove he exists, but I'm not sure I buy that he's the Lucifer from the Bible.

Because of the whole— getting stuck here like the rest of part or the missing the horns and tail most people usually picture him with? [ is it a joke or is he actually being honest? ( both, both is good. ) ] You just get a certain image of Lucifer from the Bible and it's not something you expect to actually see to go, so that's what he looks like.

Yeah, but I'm mostly with the getting stuck here with the rest of us part. I know I had no power back home -- [ haha, but she did. it was just power over specific people and it didn't last. ] -- but he's supposed to.

And if he really was him, he should just be able to disappear from here. Maybe in a puff of smoke for an interesting effect. [ also really useful for distraction purposes but minor detail. ]

You don't think he's just sticking around for fun, do you? If he is the actual Lucifer.

I don't know, he seems to enjoy the strife as far as I can tell, but so do most narcissistic psychopaths.

He does have that flair for showmanship, I could see it. Even if I would feel really bad about David Bowie having to be associated with it. [ david bowie preemptive defense squad in case lucifer gets all up in that glitter business. ]

Not all of them— or at least some of them like to play long game strife. He did get some of us to go completely insane but that's a one time deal, right? I like to think we'll work through this and then where's the strife for him to enjoy. That I want to have more but— for the sake of argument.

Well, if he is as powerful as he imagines, he could just keep doing it. Limitless strife. We're in Cold War era America, after all, itchy trigger fingers abound.

But not limitless returns. [ though there's subtle look at "as powerful as he imagines", barry's not laughing but he wants to so badly right now. ] There's eventually a point where everyone might actually get used to him just doing it and no reaction.

Or there would be one, but we'd all know how to handle it by then.

A lack of reaction might be good for it. It won't feed his ego, that's for sure.

There is always the potential for him doing even worse to inspire a reaction but— I don't know, with how tame this is, maybe we can take it off the table? Because maybe he has limits. I mean he has to live here too. So he can't destroy everything.

Unless he can live as some, like, interplaner being. God existed without somewhere to live.

Don't put that into the universe, now he's going to find a way and then there goes our safety net. I don't know if you can call it a safety net.

But I don't think he can. Since the Devil always came to somewhere, like Georgia, God just looked down from the clouds as a beam of light or sent an angel.

I highly doubt the Devil is actually from Georgia.

I heard it gets pretty hot there in the summer and it doesn't even really snow all that much. If there was a state you had to pick him to be from, I don't know, I think that one might be it.

Then again, he doesn't sound all that Southern. So you might be right.

Have you lived through a Minnesota winter? Hell might be hot, but heat doesn't have to lock on Hellish conditions.

No, but Missouri can have some mean winters. And that's not even counting how mean the Ozarks can get if you're up there in the winter.

Then again, if you've got a story about digging yourself out of a doorway, I might have to concede defeat.
