[ Cisco sits back from turning the video feed on, his garage/workshop visible in the background, and goes back to fiddling with a project on his workbench while he talks. ]

So, what kind of movies do you guys like? Back home, I mean. I know stuff is weird here and some movies don't exist, and they have stuff some of us don't have back home, so if there's any good universe-local movies I'm missing out on that only exist here, I could use some recs, too. Bonus points if there's any really good alternate universe versions of stuff I'd know from home. Negative points if it's propaganda crap, because there's enough of that on TV as it is.

[ He props up the thing he's working on to get at the bottom of it, and it looks like a projector. Wonder what that could be for! ]

Yeahhh, that's still a crowd. I'm thinking more like twenty people, maybe thirty, tops. I'm not sure I can fit more than that in my back yard, and if I try to cram anywhere near that many people in the living room, one of my roommates might actually kill me.

Not actually seriously! He's just, uh, not used to living with other people. So he'd probably get cranky.

[ Okay, he's like 99.9% sure inviting a ton of people over without warning isn't a killable offense, but who even knows with Eobard "I'm not sorry for killing you, I'm sure I had a good reason" Thawne. ]

Maybe you should move before you have a movie party.

Nah. I just got my garage set up!

[ He picks the camera up and pans it around his newly refurbished workshop! ]

It's still a work in progress, since I don't have any actual funding beyond my normal paychecks from the t-shirt company, but it's not a bad setup, right?

When we move, I'll be setting up a space for my work, too.

I live in Heropa now but...we've had some trouble here.

[Someone stalking her, trying to kill her boyfriend. Little things.]

Ah...a man from my world. He was in jail, but the jail was destroyed. I don't know if he survived or he's in hiding or he was sent back home. But he's very dangerous.

His name is Solf Kimblee and he generally wears all white. He's an alchemist.

[ Cisco is all too familiar with escaped convicts. ]

A friend of mine does actual patrols. I'll let him know to keep an eye out, just in case.

Also, I'm guessing your world has a different definition of alchemist than mine? Because old timey chemistry doesn't sound super threatening.

[She's gotten used to that question, Cisco. Forgive her slightly lecturing tone.]

Alchemists are known as 'human weapons'. Mr. Kimblee can create explosions when he puts his hands together. Mr. Mustang makes fire pretty much the same way. My boyfriend, Ed, works with solid objects; metal, dirt, concrete...that sort of thing. Back home, they were all part of our military, but Ed's...he went AWOL.

[Not going to explain it was partially to keep her safe and partially to keep from killing a lot of people.]

[ Lecturing or not, he's impressed. ]

Whoa. That sounds way cooler than what alchemy in my world was.

[She grew up with it, so it's not anything particularly special, in her opinion.]

I could introduce you to Ed sometime if you'd like.

Yeah, sure! I'd like to hear about how it works. Consider yourselves invited to movie night, whenever I get that going.

That'd be great! We both like movies!

Cool. I'm not sure when it's gonna be yet, but definitely not this week, since I've gotta finish getting ready for the expo this weekend. I'll let you know when I pick a day.

Me, too. I wish I had something different to show off. I guess my cyber eyes and projectors are different.

Hey, the eyes would be a great display all on their own. Is your boyfriend gonna be around for you to model his... automail? That's what it's called, right?

The last time I had him do that, he wound up stripped in the street and a thief stole his watch!
