Video

[ Cisco sits back from turning the video feed on, his garage/workshop visible in the background, and goes back to fiddling with a project on his workbench while he talks. ]

So, what kind of movies do you guys like? Back home, I mean. I know stuff is weird here and some movies don't exist, and they have stuff some of us don't have back home, so if there's any good universe-local movies I'm missing out on that only exist here, I could use some recs, too. Bonus points if there's any really good alternate universe versions of stuff I'd know from home. Negative points if it's propaganda crap, because there's enough of that on TV as it is.

[ He props up the thing he's working on to get at the bottom of it, and it looks like a projector. Wonder what that could be for! ]

It's nothing urgent. [And, really, he could always cheat and make the work go by faster by using his powers. He doesn't do it usually, but he's not against it.] I'll be there shortly.

[He'll cut off the feed there and, as said, he'll come downstairs to the garage after two-three minutes. Once there he knocks on the house-entrance door to catch Cisco's attention.]

[He opens the door before Cisco even finishes talking, smiling a little at the short ramble. His eyes glance at the sprawled pieces of the projector (it's cringing, how archaic the mechanisms are) and then glance up to Cisco.]

Is that projector for what I think it's for?

Honestly, you put an excessive amount of effort into showing movies for them. I guess they were lucky to have you. [Seriously Cisco they were running an illegal prison for meta-human criminals, there is no room for fun here.] It sounds like a good idea - I hope you'll get many takers for it.

[There is a very underlying prickle in his skin that he masks in his voice and expression and it clearly comes at the thought of Cisco's endeavor being a success. He suspects it has less to do with not wanting it to succeed and more to do of what could happen if it does succeed.]

[Helping save criminals was the first mistake.]

Backyard would be nicer this time of year. Air conditioning can only do so much when you cram over a couple dozen people in here, in the middle of August at that.

[Yes he does get the implication and he appreciates it. He doesn't even like living with other people, so the thought of dozens of them in one small house (well small compared to the glass mansion he situated himself in before) is cringing.]

You'll need a screen though. A large-scaled one like that could cost a lot of money, unless you make it yourself.

A sheet? [Really, Cisco?] I suppose that's fine for a simple solution. Although, if you're going to do this... you may as well go all the way?
