Since it seems as though Kate Bishop has left us, I've gone ahead and drawn up a copy of her FAQ. You can now find it here. Considering she clearly put effort into making and keeping track of this, it's not something I'm prepared to let to go to waste. In the same vein as when she first shared this, if you think I left out something important, let me know so it can be added. Comments, questions, or remarks are welcome.

Back in my world, there was a Café ran by ghouls, Anteiku. This is where I met Hinami-chan, Touka-chan. Rize-san. [ the ghoul whose organs were transplanted to him and turned him into a ghoul ] I had many friends there. It was my place in the world.
Commission of Counter Ghoul - Ghoul investigators - will raid it in the future. Two of my friends will die, another will be missing. And I didn't have the courage to ask about myself.

[Comes out so quickly Ken could assume Will's been in similar shoes. He's been in both—not knowing, and knowing too much. For him, it's a deadly line to toe. He has no doubts the same is true for Ken's world.]
Even if they're someone you consider a friend.
[...especially then.]

am going to piss her off. [ he touches the back of his neck ] She is going to punch me when she finds out.

[Blunter than usual, but he's trying to make a point here, and his voice grows more intense to match his face. He wants Ken to understand—but at the same time, Will wants to make sure he isn't missing anything, he wants Ken to make Will understand if he's way off about this. Ken knows his people better than Will ever could, after all. Perhaps it's different among ghouls.]
If you don't have all the information, why should you be the one to do it? If it's something she really needs to know, why can't this other person tell her? Does she actually need to know about this, Ken? Would it be helpful to her?

But in the end, I decided to stop pushing her away because that wasn't the right thing to do at all; I decided that it was okay to rely on her and others. [ that's the only reason why Kaneki actually opens this much to Will. Had he arrived before that decision, he wouldn't have opened up to anyone ever ]
I want... to protect her from it all, but I can't keep pushing her away. It's not fair. And this is her life, too. It's not just about me.

If it's not just about you—she should be the one who chooses whether you tell her or not. Shouldn't she?

She told me not to keep her in the dark anymore. Though... I still do.

[And himself, in a way; they go hand-in-hand, don't they? Not necessarily protecting himself from physical harm, but the toll taken after reveals are made. If the only change would be a punch, it wouldn't be difficult. Will's voice drops, turns back to something friendly despite the subject. He's personally been there, relates, this is something he can speak from experience on and, perhaps, be of help to Ken...]
Sometimes it's much easier to protect people when they're left in the dark on certain matters. They don't always know what they're asking, don't...expect what they could be told. If you know them, what they can and can't handle, then leaving them in the dark about what they can't cope with should they know without experiencing it on their own isn't...
[Wrong, he thinks, but doesn't say. Just lets it trail off.]

I want to protect her from all I have seen. [ and lived. That's what he exists for. ] But should I be the one to tell her about it, instead of her hearing it from someone else?
no subject
Depends on how she'd react hearing it from this someone else instead of you. Do you know?
no subject
He'll make this a lot more complicated then: ]
... it's actually two people. One of them is a friend. [ Will can think of him as a ghoul, but Kaneki is not going to out them. ] Another is a Ghoul Investigator. [ yeah. ]
Mutsuki is not like Suzuya but- he is the last person Touka should hear this from.
when you find tags buried under a bunch of crap email, apologies
They're your people. [He says at last, tilting his head.] You know them best, how they are and what needs to be done. I wish you good luck with whatever you decide.
[Is about all he really can do, even if he's under the impression that Ken isn't someone who's experienced much in the way of good luck ever.]
