[ the feed comes on to show a boy with very tall hair and a much shorter girl with scratches on her face over her eye, one looking rather cheerful and the other less so. ]

Hi hi hi everyone, I have an important question. [ he holds up a finger, tilts his head as if a thought had just occurred to him. he's so preoccupied he was going to launch himself into his spiel without even introducing himself. ] I'm being rude. I am Henry Cheng, and we were wondering —

[ the not so tall and in fact very short girl interrupts. ] We're looking for someone we know! [ she pulls a little face, looking over at Mr. Henry Cheng. ] A few people, actually. [ okay, maybe that was a little rude. she murmurs something unintelligible and takes a step back. please, proceed. ]

And that was my lovely friend Blue. [ he gestures with a flourish toward her, shoots her a wink, absolutely unbothered by the interruption or her outburst. ] As she said, we are looking for someone. Multiple someones. I'm sure this place has a list of sorts, yes? A quick way to CTRL-F a friend's name and find out their status?

[ he looks a bit more serious, then, like underneath the cheerfulness he's exhausted. his next words are very earnest. ]

We would appreciate any info. Thank you.

[ in the background, Blue begins tromping away, shedding dead leaves for some reason, and can be vaguely heard to say 'maybe we should've mentioned Gansey by name' before the video ends. ]

I've met Mina Harker and Henry Jekyll before. [ just casually saying this like you know, no big deal ]

[oceiteres]

Next you're going to tell me you met Dr. Frankenstein.

[brushoff]

I wish, [ Dorian can't help but muse, with a small little grin of his own. ] I'm sure I could have helped the good doctor...ah, loosen up a bit.

[oceiteres]

[ She raises both brows, though one less so than the other because of all the nastiness on her face. ] Right.

[brushoff]

[ And here Dorian just rolls his eyes. ] Don't be a prude, Blue. It's obvious that someone with an active sex life wouldn't be fiddling around with corpses in the first place.

[oceiteres]

[ She scoffs a little. Or something. The girl who has had two kisses ever in her young life? Never. ] Is that really the first place your brain goes?

[brushoff]

Not a hundred percent of the time, but seventy percent or so? Definitely.

[oceiteres]

That sounds boring to me. [ The girl who wants to "someday have carnal knowledge of Richard Gansey." But, you know, she'd like to go see the Amazon and save some tropical birds and do more exciting things in that vein too. ]

[brushoff]

You're a teenager. It can't be that boring. [ teenagers think with their dicks & vaginas, after all ]

[oceiteres]

I'm not sure I want to talk about it with someone who's been a senior citizen for a century. [ This one doesn't. It would literally have killed someone if she did, so. ]

[brushoff]

Then it's a good thing age doesn't matter anyway—only youth does. And I have youth in abundance. [ senior citizen whatever, he's pretty and that's what matters. ]

[oceiteres]

[ Gansey is pretty. Dorian is a person. Who is young-looking. ]

That definitely sounds like an excuse.

[brushoff]

It's the truth. One's age doesn't matter. What does matter is that one has the appearance to back it up.

[ Who has two thumbs and issues about growing old/showing wrinkles, THIS GUY. ]

[oceiteres]

[ Well, one can kind of understand why. ]

I think your brain matters a little.

[brushoff]

[ Dorian can't help but laugh a little at that, giving Blue a little shrug. ] Considering that I've met too many people who are pretty and brainless, I'll grant you that little.

[oceiteres]

[ Her eyes are going to get tired of trying to roll outta her skull. Especially the one that nearly got scratched out. ]

It's unrealistic to expect people to be perfect.

[brushoff]

[ don't worry Blue, Dorian knows that people can't reach his level of perfection. ]

In that case, if we're going for a hierarchy, I'd prefer looks over brains. You can try to fix stupid.

[oceiteres]

[ This is a noise of vague disgust. Or frustration. Disgustration. ]

You just made a lot of generalizations there.

[brushoff]

[ to which Dorian just shrugs ] And your point is?

[oceiteres]

[ Blue sort of stares. ] You're sort of impossible.

[brushoff]

[ He just laaaaaaughs. ] But in the best way possible.

[oceiteres]

[ You can have this one, Dorian Gray: ] I guess not in the worst way, at least.

[brushoff]

Certainly not in the worst way. [ There's a pause as Dorian just shakes his head. ] You're in the running for best of the Aglionby boys, by the way—though, I suppose I need a better name for you lot.

[oceiteres]

You rank us? [ Arching one brow. The brow of judgment. The brow of 10% curiosity. Nay, 5%. ] We're all from Henrietta. I'm sure you could come up with something creative with that.

[brushoff]

I rank everybody. [ Telling the obvious. ] Do you wish to hear said rankings?
