HIS HAND AROUND A BIT... you know what I mean right, guys? abductions, not... well. abductions. good! glad that's all cleared up, then, carrying on: ] I'm not usually the one being abducted, I've got more practice with being the one doing the rescuing, but I'm always up for something new! And transuniversal abductions, well, I've only got a dozen or so of those under my belt, so.

Sorry, hello, can't resist buttons. Anyway! I was actually just popping up to say hi! Howdy. I'm the Doctor: alien, two hearts, travels through time and space in a big blue box. Thought I'd get that out of the way straight off, not that I've got any doubts I'll be repeating myself any number of times in the not so far off future but if there is anybody out there who recognises that description please do feel free to speak up for a chat. That's open to any of the rest of you, too, as it happens. Wouldn't want anybody getting jealous, chats for all, that's my motto. Well! hat. there is a hat. quite suddenly, quite without warning: hat. right there in his hand, a baseball cap. he stares at it for a second... glowers at it for a moment after that, takes a slow sweep of a glance towards his communicator (did you see that)—

Nice to meet you, the Doctor! I'm Haru! I'm an alien too, but more of a fish type than a two-hearted type! I came to this planet from far away on my ooh-fo! [That's UFO.] But - BuUUUUUuT - I left it parked in Japan. And maybe another DI-MEN-si-ON!

Haven't heard of a big blue box, no, hmmmMMmm, do you know about 5-headed-dragons or fishing?

Now are you asking who knows the Doctor, or who needs a doctor?

[Deadpan stare. If that hat thing is a power, then someone lucked out.]

...I'm sorry I'm still stuck on the fact you've abducted people before. That's kinda, y'know, frowned upon in most parts of the world. And in most worlds for that matter.

For someone that aware you do have a marvellously cheerful disposition. And two hearts? Never met a creature with that. Well unless you count certain creatures of Fae but lets not talk about them.

[Not much can phase Barnaby, but he's legitimately taken aback by...whatever trainwreck of a message he just witnessed. Still, when he speaks, he manages a pleasantly polite expression.]

For someone so familiar with time travel and transuniversal abductions, you seem easily impressed. [Maybe a bit too easily...]

[ ...how is Sam supposed to react to you, that's what he's wondering at the moment. Because he's kind of staggered, but he's also kind of charmed, in a really weird way. He's met some interesting folk since he's been here, but this guy is of a different breed. ]

Guess there really is all sorts they pulled in with those porter things then. I bet my friend would be interested in the whole 'two hearts' thing and how that works. She grew up reading medical texts her parents had.
