( guess who's back, back again? here she is, the grumpy savior, and... unbelievably, she's doing kind of okay. not, you know, great... but kind of okay.

she comes as a woman on a mission, though... however embarrassing it is. )

easy to pick up hobbies that you do with your hands, and go

sidebar: does anyone want a dreamcatcher? because I've got a lot of dreamcatchers.

( no seriously. a lot of dreamcatchers. she can get about an hour of sleep a night on a good night, so far, and the rest of her nights are spent failing at crafting and making dreamcatchers. )

puzzles, huh? that sounds like the sort of hobby an 80 year old married couple would like, but... I can give it a shot, I guess.
honestly don't remember the last time I tried to put one together.

It's got the mind-numbing part down. I don't try them too often myself, but occasionally when I've been really stuck on a story for my job, I'd try one for a brain break, and sometimes afterward I'd think of a new way to approach things.

that sounds exactly like what I'm hoping for, so I'll give it a try.
anything that I can sort of tune out and do thoughtlessly, but it's productive at the same time. weird specifics but that's what I'm looking for.

one day, hopefully. probably not a day anytime soon, though.

( she can't see this curse being broken without her family, and they aren't with her here. it's daunting to imagine remaining cursed for that long, but maybe she can master controlling it before they're together, cutting out the risk she'll end up hurting them. )
