it's... well I'll let you look up the cultural context, I'd mess it up anyway. but essentially they're decorative nets usually made by native americans, and they're supposed to catch bad dreams and only let the good through. my ex called them flypaper for nightmares.

Supposedly they catch nightmares and only let the good thoughts in. I guess it's up to you if you believe it or not.

Cooking or baking is always nice. I had to learn back home and it was handy skill to learn for multiple reasons.

Sewing and knitting I found to be fun as well as certain videogames.

it's basically a woven net of sorts. folklore says it can catch nightmares but I can't really say I believe that. they're pretty, though.

Do dreamcatchers actually catch dreams?

google has a lot of ideas, but I was hoping to get first hand experiences. which are the most calming.

I guess it depends on who you ask. but traditional dreamcatchers, no, I wouldn't say they do. it's kind of like a nightlight for kids, as long as they think it'll protect them, it will.

Painting. Whittling. Weaving baskets, perhaps. Writing. Easy as in easily capable, if not in easily mastered. It takes time, dedication, perhaps some talent to become proficient in most anything.
