TWO ❀ TEXT.
( guess who's back, back again? here she is, the grumpy savior, and... unbelievably, she's doing kind of okay. not, you know, great... but kind of okay.
she comes as a woman on a mission, though... however embarrassing it is. )
easy to pick up hobbies that you do with your hands, and go
sidebar: does anyone want a dreamcatcher? because I've got a lot of dreamcatchers.
( no seriously. a lot of dreamcatchers. she can get about an hour of sleep a night on a good night, so far, and the rest of her nights are spent failing at crafting and making dreamcatchers. )

and sure. like I said, I keep a pile in my office. if you want one, it's yours.

Where would your office be located? I admit to being new to this world and still in the process of getting my bearings.

it's in Heropa, a place called Pretty Princess Event Planning. your phone should help you navigate, if you know how to work the apps yet. if you don't I can probably give you a crash course.
( she's not a fish out of water, but she's lived with a town of them. and she taught a pirate to use a cell phone, she's an expert at it now. )

I admit I'm still making myself familiar with the different uses of the phone. There is nothing comparable to what you'd find in the various technologies of my world. Regardless, I've been making myself familiar with Heropa. The streets are conveniently labeled. I'll grant that much to the area.

( she sends him an address, which isn't too far off the main drag of downtown. shouldn't be too hard to find. )
and I mean it, I'll show you how to work the nav app if you show up. trust me, it's a lifesaver.

[ and thankfully, navigating by the means he's used to is hardly so difficult when he's familiar with the region. being incapable of staying still has its benefits.
ooc: I'm so sorry for the late tag-back, is this anything you'd actually like to thread out? ]
ooc: i'm game! you want to go to action?
( she's a fool for such thoughtless thinking, clearly!(
that'd be wonderful!
[ more of a jest than him being serious as he tucks away the communicator, not terribly tied in to keeping track of what it has to say when he's navigating on his own. bless mahanon for having pointed him toward secondhand clothing stores; it means when he does show up, it's in a cableknit sweater, slacks, and absolutely nothing on his head to disguise the length and shape of his ears.
Pretty Princess Event Planning. he steps inside with little more than a raised eyebrow as he glances around, taking stock of the interior. event planning as a profession with a stand apart store only feels strange because it isn't how he woke to find the world behaving back in Thedas. that it can be an entirely consuming trade of its own isn't surprising in the least. ]
I hope I'm not intruding.
[ it's a lightly amused statement directed at whomever he first comes across. this is such a strange thing to find grounding (the sheer ability of any social group to have an eye for the art of throwing events of all kinds) that he can only be amused at himself. frustrated, too, but there's little enough he's been able to do aside from acknowledge that ongoing frustration and keep moving forward. ]

The opposite, actually, unless you're here to talk about throwing a kids party.
( she'd rather have a distraction from work, and the fact they expect her to run the counter while the receptionist is out for lunch. she lifts her brows at her company, definitely noticing he's not quite human... but that's not actually that strange to her, anymore, when she's met trolls and giants and ogres. )
You're here for a dreamcatcher, right?

he inclines his head toward Emma, reserving judgment on her work establishment. it's more a place she is than a place she's constructed for herself. he can empathize with that to varying degrees. ]
Yes, I am. They're an interesting concept.
[ particularly to one who walks in dreams and can manipulate his own and others, if he feels so inclined. (by and large he doesn't.) ]
Pardon me for asking... Was this where you were offered employment by the Government, or one you stumbled into along the way while living here?
no subject
The first. I'd planned one kids party in my life before I ended up here. ( one party, for Henry, in New York when both of them couldn't remember themselves. it'd been okay, his friends had all shown up and it'd been a decent time, and yet something had felt missing. Emma knows what had been missing, now, and it's the same thing she's missing still. will she ever be able to just be with her family, instead of missing them? )
I've had bigger things on my plate than finding a new job, so... ( until then, she was drudging through this one. even if her attitude wasn't sparkling, Emma did her best to make her young clients happy. there was at least that. )
