TWO ❀ TEXT.
( guess who's back, back again? here she is, the grumpy savior, and... unbelievably, she's doing kind of okay. not, you know, great... but kind of okay.
she comes as a woman on a mission, though... however embarrassing it is. )
easy to pick up hobbies that you do with your hands, and go
sidebar: does anyone want a dreamcatcher? because I've got a lot of dreamcatchers.
( no seriously. a lot of dreamcatchers. she can get about an hour of sleep a night on a good night, so far, and the rest of her nights are spent failing at crafting and making dreamcatchers. )

sure, but I can only carry so many. your selection will be less limited, if that's cool.
no subject
yeah. i don't mind what i get. i'd feel better about outside just because there's people... you know.
no subject
I'm not sure I do, but I can meet you outside, that's fine. just let me know when you're here.
no subject
it's ok, never mind it. i think i can be there in 15 min, but i'll text you. that ok?
[she's pretty much on her way out now.]

the blonde with bad hair and a couple of dreamcatchers is going to be me. hopefully, I don't feel like there's many blondes with messy hair out and about holding dreamcatchers
action
Not even 13 minutes later she arrives and waits for the first blond with "bad hair" and dreamcatchers and coffee in hand. To clue Emma in to who she is, she raises her hand in a slight wave.]
Hi. Think I'm waiting for you.
[Or this is a very, very strange coincidence.]
no subject
I sure hope so. There can only be so many blondes trying to unload dreamcatchers out there, right?
( she huffs a not-quite laugh, and offers a not-quite smile. she's still a little reserved, she can't help it. things aren't as bad as they were when she first arrived, but it's still been months now without her family. it's pretty hard on her, whether she admits it or not.
she extends the arm with the dreamcatchers, allowing Enid to pick one up to inspect. ) Here they are. Nothing special, I'm afraid. ( Emma doesn't give herself enough credit; when she's got so many sleepless hours to dedicate to making them, they turn out quite intricate, in fact. )

[The thought is amusing enough to cause her to give a little smile. Though she is a little reserved herself so it lasts for not very long. She turns her eyes down to the dream catchers to eye then momentarily before accepting two of them graciously at random.]
They look really well made, though. Thank you.
[Her shoulders slink so her backpack can coming sliding off. She'll look at the ones she took individually once more before putting them carefully inside.]
no subject
Well, they shouldn't fall apart. ( Emma doesn't do compliments well, even comments on craftmanship, apparently. she tilts her head to observe her companion, contemplating as the girl stows the wares away. )
You got a name, or are you just here on business? ( she can respect it, either way, but sue her: she's a curious soul. )
no subject
They shouldn't. [She agrees, noticing how Emma doesn't take a compliment well but rolling with it. Her eyes blink as a result of the contemplative look on her, though.]
No. Well, yeah, I came for these. [She falls a little over her words.] My name is Enid.
no subject
( it was admittedly not a good one. but it got her what she was after, a name. since the backpack is zipped and her hands freed of a few dreamcatchers, Emma has one to spare for a handshake. )
Emma. I hope you like them, whether they manage to keep nightmares away or not.
no subject
[Honestly, the joke was entirely missed by her. And she can't help but react with a huff with nervous laughter and an expression of momentary surprise.]
Sorry. I thought you were being strangely literal.
[She extends her hand in turn, although (still) apologetically in demeanor. She's on to this this jokes thing now, she thinks. And she cracks a smile at the last part Emma adds.]
Don't worry. I will. I grabbed these to hang over my bed and sort of learn from. It'll be only a bonus if they keep nightmares away.
no subject
Learn from... hoping to make your own?
( Emma is slightly surprised, but hey, it clearly keeps her hands busy. it wasn't a horrible hobby, she couldn't begrudge anyone else taking a crack at it. )
no subject
[it was at least something she'd try once from studying the way the string was weaved.]
no subject
( what can she say, she likes the dreamcatcher aesthetic. i mean, clearly. )
I hope it helps. If you need any advice on how it's woven, I can see what I can do.
no subject
[When it comes to crafts, sharing and copying is to be expected. Besides, it was hoped that soon her crafts would be out there for anyone to see (and purchase).]
I may take you up on that, too. Maybe we can trade ideas. If you do give jewelry a try.
no subject
( it's true of saviors, too. or, at least, it's true of Emma, seeing as she's usually too frustrated by her own failure to try things she doesn't feel good at immediately. forcing herself to try things more than once is definitely a new change. )
I'll be in touch. You're welcome to do the same.
no subject
[Another encouragement, which is in part a cheery joke and the twisting of logic she hopes the other woman will appreciate.
A nod follows.] I will keep that in mind.
[Emma seemed nicer than she was expecting, after all.]
no subject
( there's some wry humor in her tone, though; she's not holding it against the overtly talented assholes of the world. much. )
I'd better get back to my princesses, they don't plan parties for themselves. It was nice to meet you, though.
