( no seriously. a lot of dreamcatchers. she can get about an hour of sleep a night on a good night, so far, and the rest of her nights are spent failing at crafting and making dreamcatchers. )

for Henry? it was a necklace he wore. enchanting the dreamcatcher would be different, but I think it could work. it could take the memories for you, hold onto them. you'd be able to watch them, if you needed to.

Would it change me? Placing my memories inside this device? Would I be able to retrieve them if I wished to carry them again?

it'll change you. having experienced a gap in my memories, I felt it, even if I didn't know why

that said, you'll know why. and if you ever want them, you can view them, or put them back. though wrapping your head around all of them can be difficult, there's no adjustment period, they're just suddenly there.

I confess that I would like to be rid of these memories. However, I also fear that I would lose a part of myself that perhaps I ought not to lose. The experiences changed me once. I'm uncertain if I ought to let them do so again.

May I have time to think on it? Perhaps procure an unenchanted dreamcatcher in the mean time?

sure. it's up to you.

( she wants to help but she can understand it's an extreme option. she's had an absence in her memories before, and just watching them wouldn't be quite enough, either. then again, if he's only escaping nightmares, wouldn't it be good to have that escape? )

in the meantime, you can pick up as many as you want. if you believe they'll protect you, you never know, they just might.
