It's possible you even sympathize with some of them, though it's clear the speaker does not.] You answer their crimes with rewards of friendship, forgiveness...and freedom.

Intelligence has no bearing on moral culpability or lack thereof. What justice is it, sir, to abuse a young person for his idealism? Even if Yagami were utterly wrong, to threaten his life so would be cruelty of the highest order.
